There must be a technical explanation on why they could not exist in D2. Did I miss the explanation somewhere? Thanks

There’s probably some lore about it somewhere. Maybe Bungie will produce another comic, this time the story of why the sparrow horns disappeared. Expect characters talking in dramatic speech, a lot of scowling and tension, and some glib dialogue from your ghost!
-
Horns were affecting PvP.
-
When Luke Smith lost a race and somebody spammed him with a horn at the end to perform the SRL equivalent of a teabag it made him sad.
-
Among all the other strange decisions they made, we will never get an answer why. Maybe they are too embarrassed to admit how lame of a reason it actually is. They should be embarrassed.
-
2 RepliesLaziness, ignorance, or greed bc they wanted to resell them to us through Eververse when SRL came back.
-
They didnt axe them. They took them away along with everything else so they can drip feed it back to you over the course of the year.
-
I'm sure the goal was to add them in later via the eververse but as for a technical reason...ill just blame the eververse because they -blam!- everything up anyway.
-
The technical explanation is, so they can sell them to you in a future update Paid dlc of course
-
its to hard making content
-
2 RepliesTo give the developers more time to work on emblems.
-
Horns are actually something that SHOULD have been in Eververse. Not a -blam!-load of ships and a shitload of Ghosts.
-
1 ReplyBungie removed horns and aerial maneuvers intentionally to sell them back to us later down the road. I guarantee it.
-
Because they were fun and we enjoyed them, so they obviously had to go.
-
1 ReplyYou might as well address this to a brick wall or a passing cloud.
-
Glad they did. I hated when people spammed the horn constantly.
-
...Horns are folklore... We aren't sure if they ever really happened.
To Bungie, why did you axe the sparrow horns?
Horns were OP. Too many kinderguardians caught looking into the sky in the Cosmodrome, trying to find the ducks flying south for the winter. Ducks is good huntin'. Caused massive amounts of rage quitting among blueberries. If you pay good money for a game with quacking, you better be able to shoot some ducks! True Story.

Yes, please bring horns back
-
I loved my Gjallarhorn horn. " BLARRRGH! "
-
too hard ...

My post from January will be of interest to you, and yes bring back sparrow horns and sparrow tricks!! https://www.bungie.net/St/Forums/Post/242012793?sort=0&page=0

Did you try buying silver?
-
Always thought it was funny they removed the horns, but kept the little backup tone when you reverse your sparrow. XD
-
1 ReplyThey involved fun
-
1 ReplyThe Red Legion took them and crushed them along with the purple ball.
