Edited by Zanithos: 3/11/2018 3:01:09 PMI have WiFi due to the way my room is set up (it's shaped like a big 'U'), so I can't run a cat6 over to my Xbox (which is less than ten feet from my router) without tripping over it. That being said, I've got my Xbox connected on the 5ghz bandwidth with manual port forwarding, so I don't have to worry about NAT issues or lag 99.999% of the time. I'm not quite sure how people are connecting so that literally every single person is redbarring, but then again I have some pretty decent speeds with my ISP, so I don't have to worry about it too much.

1 ReplyHardwired. Wifi is too unpredictable for gaming. I have the best WIFI network money can buy, yet I hardwire both my TV and Xbox because if I don't the signal strength constantly fluctuates. It's the nature of WIFI to be inconsistent, just like cell phone reception. I just run my tablets and phone via WIFI. Everyone wants to believe THEIR WIFI is the exception and is flawless, but those people are stupid and don't understand technology as well as they think they do.

Ahh more of “I didn’t get outplayed, You’re lagging”...

C. None of the above cause I uninstalled this shit

The bait is nasty over here

Depends on the connection.

I have two xbox in different rooms. One is wired and the other is wireless. The connection is always better on the wired Xbox.

Ethernet cord, with wifi off, still laggy, strict nat, unsuccessful UpnP, high ping, 8 mbps (above average in my country), I'm helpless Can't complain, my life has improved without video games, which is good I guess
-
Nah I use nintendo Wii, Stop being annoyed about connnection issues, Thats what you get for playing this game
-
3 RepliesNah... use 3G. I'm sure Bungie allows it.

You have such a short-sighted poll. I play on wifi, because I don't have access to a hardline. There's literally not a single ethernet port available to me.

5 RepliesI run hard wired, pay for the best internet package I can and I experience lag more than anything else in pvp. Teleporting players, delayed registration with bullets and delayed kills that allows another player to damage me before finally dying, one hit melee kills from classes that can not for it, .4 ttk from enemies, two shot deaths from Midas, players not showing up on the radar at all, and like d1, the players that are running against the wall taking no damage and then teleporting behind you... I have done everything I can, but everything I listed is my daily experience in pvp and almost every trials entry... it’s so bad, that I have no desire to go in anymore. Too frustrating. I’m not even a try hard but I can not go longer than 3 to 4 matches before I am too triggered to keep going.

3 RepliesThe netcode is so bad, it doesn't make any difference eitherway.

1 ReplyWifi ruins crucible for all. lmao Dumb p2p networking is dumb. Only file sharing makes sense via p2p networking.
