Fortnite got a 60 fps mode on console, why not Destiny?

Fortnite was borderline unplayable at times when it dropped below 30, which it did a lot. Now they tweaked the settings and optimized it for framerate and it's significantly better and visually you can't tell the difference. You can even go back to the 30 fps high visual mode if for some weird reason you wanted to. I feel like there are a lot of settings in D2 that can be toned down or even turned off to provide a better framerate. The difference it made in fortnite is night and day and I can't even tell the difference in graphic quality. 60 fps in D2 would be a huge step in the right direction. • Destiny with 60fps would be unplayable on console, hardware is too weak. If you want high fps consider getting a good pc, consoles were never for high graphic games.

    • Look at fortnight, and then look at destiny 2. Notice anything different? Not talking about gameplay, or mechanics, simply visuals. The textures, the resolutions. That's why destiny doesn't do 60fps. The consoles don't have the power to run destiny at that framerate.

      • A game with minimalist graphics will always run at a higher frame rate because it’s frames contain little data. Destiny and Destiny 2 are graphics intense and require serious graphics hardware to maintain high rates. The PC version was a separate build that allows for upgradable graphics hardware. Consoles are fixed and cannot get upgradable high performance graphics hardware. A good PC SLI Nvidia system runs $700+ per card, and you need 2. You can add a third SLI if you wanted to. But can add none in a console. Your console costs less than a single good graphics card. It’s graphics engine was obsolete before the plans were finalized on production. TLDR: You cannot compare Fortnite graphics engine to Destiny.

      • Fair few games running 4k 60FPS now on the X, guess Bungo aren't allowed to have the game running even better on the X

      • Because Fortnite requires far less computing power.

      • Get a PC, using Fortnite as an example is plain absurd.
