Bad people will continue to do bad things even without guns might as well try and find a solution that won’t punish the good.

1 ReplyBanning guns and arming teachers is a bandaid. We need to focus on the root causes of these shootings

4 Replies"I hate guns, they're scary. Ban them." - Every liberal ever

1 ReplyOne of the main problems with guns is who can get their hands on them. Mentally disturbed individuals shouldn't be allowed to purchase firearms. For all the nuts who shoot up public places, there are so many more gun owners who are responsible with their guns. I don't think banning guns outright isn't the perfect solution some people think it is. When liberals talk about 'gun control', not all of them are saying just ban them outright. Gun control is just that, controlling who has access to them. Even soldiers don't have free access to their issued weapons. If there behavioral and mental problems in someone's history, you have to ask yourself if you can really trust them with a weapon.

17 RepliesEdited by albinomachina: 2/26/2018 7:36:31 PMNo, there should be a "sin tax" on bullets that raises their cost to $10,000 each. That way no one could afford to shoot them, and we circumvent the 2nd amendment all together. Also all guns should be banned, not just AR-15's. The gun nuts will just have to find a new way to compensate for their incredibly small penises.

1 ReplyIf you ban AR-15s, you should ban all semi-automatic weapons, including handguns, because there's really nothing special about the AR-15 that makes it more capable of killing in a panicked crowd in close quarters than any other gun.

America grew up on guns. Anyone who wants to take them away has their head up their tooshie

56 RepliesOver 1.5 million “assault weapons” are sold in the US each year. In 2016 there were only 86 shootings involving an “assault weapon”. So does it seem reasonable to ban anything used responsibly by millions of people because it’s abused by less than a hundred?

Trump is literally Hitler. Give your guns to the government. -blam!- yeah. That means Lord Emperor Trump.

Nope, and this thread just illustrates why we're never going to have anything close to a real discussion about this issue. You've got morons on both sides making moronic claims. You've got the "NO CIVILIAN SHOULD HAVE ACCESS TO THIS KILLING MACHINE" stupidity coming from people who clearly know nothing about guns and then you've got the "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" people that are drawn to any comment remotely resembling a call for gun law reform. All the while ignoring a huge part of this issue, the failure of local law enforcement and the FBI. I learned yesterday that the onsite armed guard was outside within 90 seconds and heard the gunshots but sat for over 4 minutes doing nothing and letting those kids die. The police/sheriff had been called on this person 39 times I think it was, with him threatening to kill people and even holding a gun to someone's head at one point. This person shouldn't have been able to buy a gun and definitely shouldn't have been on the streets, but leftists only want to talk about banning guns and then try to pull the "if you only cared about dead kids you'd do something" BS. I normally avoid lining up with a side in political discussions because I don't really have a party I claim, but it's pretty clear to any logical person how scummy the left is being on this topic.

You need to take one state and use it as a test state, complete ban on all weapons. Anyone caught with a firearm of any sort faces lengthy jail time. Anyone caught bringing a firearm in from another state ,same discipline. See what happens. Also only armed response police allowed with firearms. Everyday police, pepper spray and tazers.

9 RepliesBanning the sale of "assult rifles" will do nothing to prevent the next mass shooting. The next 2 to 5 shooters already have the weapons and ammo they need. We need to put armed security in schools.
-
5 RepliesWhy? Why would a specific weapon be banned? Do they all not have the same potential? Are Kalishnikovs safer? So many questions... All pointed in the wrong direction. An AR-15 is only as dangerous as the person wielding it.
-
7 RepliesYou would also have to ban every rifle that shoots the same ammo.
-
3 RepliesNo, and choice 4....rapid reload is not hard....
-
1 ReplyWell, the start of my argument would be that I should be allowed to own an AR-15 to help protect my family against other people with AR-15s.... *intruder with AR-15 *me with a 9mm *me and family dead *intruder leaves with my video game collection.
-
1 ReplyI think we shouldn't but even if we did AR-15s aren't the only assault rifles people can own.
-
4 RepliesIf you think banning something will have any effect at all you are dumb let's make heroine illegal we can save thousands of people a day from OD If you think the gun is the problem please explain why it's not like that with all other tools like a car more people are kills by cars in a year than guns ever wear is the fight to ban cars If a drunk driver kills a child crossing the street should we blame ford have we been doing this all wrong
-
2 RepliesWhat would that accomplish? Right off the top of my head, I can think of at least 50 different rifles that do the exact same thing.
And look just as scaaaary!
Banz to make her dance
-
73 RepliesYes. It was for 10 years and the world didn’t end. There are no legitimate civilian uses for that kind of weapon.
-
Gun control. Thats what needed for you guys. Learn everyone how to CONTROL a weapon. In the right hands its a shield in case of danger. In the wrong hands, its the danger you needed to be defend from.
-
1 ReplyNo I just think you should have to prove your mental status and competency to handle weapons like that before you can buy them.
-
2 RepliesI’m from America And AR 15s are beautiful Suck it antigun people Although yeah they’re a bit deadly if used incorrectly
-
6 RepliesWeapon still kills why would it matter? just ban guns..
-
10 RepliesEdited by WILLtheKILLA5: 2/21/2018 5:44:17 PMNo It was idiotic for Gov. Kasich to stupidity say “Would your 2nd amendment would be infringed if the AR-15 was banned?” Yes it would, that’s like saying we will restrict all speech that you disagree with because you don’t like it.
