Maybe in the Infinite Forest as simulations or on Mars in the upcoming expansion? The lore about these mythical beasts sounds fascinating and we already have two Exotics related to them.
Edit: I never played D1 so I’m sorry for not knowing that there’s four exotics related to them instead of two.
-
I hope we do there have been too many references to them, all of the exotics and the artifacts and Shaxx's dragon skull in the D2 tower and the quote from the beta. I believe that we will fight Eao, The Last Ahamkara

With Bungie's incompetent writing or "Narrative" team, we'll seem in a stupid online comic that completely contradicts the lore and grimiore and that will be that. Why put story in a game when an online comic book is cheaper and faster. Can't be spending all that Eververse cash on making our product better. Gotta think about those quarterly reports yo'.
-
Probably not.
-
1 ReplyThey’ve been teasing the dragon since D1V. Never delivered. Lol.
-
If we do see them I hope they are not as enemies.
-
2 RepliesBungie announces the Ahamkara will be in an upcoming DLC, causing mass hysteria of joy throughout the community for finally giving us something we've asked for over the past 4 years. They hype the DLC for months and players buy it.
The players are severely disappointed when they find out it's only 1 encounter and the Ahamkara is really just a reskinned Thrall. They didn't even bother making it bigger.
-
No. They were hunted to extinction, although it’s speculated that a few survived and have been spotted out as far as Jupiter and Io.
-
Ahamkaras are just folklore
-
Mate, what? There's only like, one of them still alive.
-
Devs dont care shait about lore
-
3 RepliesMost believe them to be extinct however in D1 if you look in the sky lies above Venus in certain areas you see what sure as hell looks like a dragon flying around. That being said I’m not entirely sure which side they had been on but after what the guardians did....Yeah they gonna be mad.
-
7 RepliesAhamkaras arent cannon

1 ReplyEdited by WreckinBawl: 2/13/2018 9:05:50 AMLike the smart & sensible creatures they are, they left Destiny for Monster Hunter.
-
Why does everyone want them so bad? Bungie can barely make "stand there and shoot a big dude" boss fights not rubbish. If they tried to make a dragon it'd probably just be copy and paste of skyrim's garbage dragon fights.
-
🤣🤣😂😂 😐
😅😅
-
I doubt it. Guardians hunted them to extinction.
-
Bungie: “New...enemies? Enemies...that are new and not...NOT recycled? Wha...what’s going on? My head...this pain...OH GOD IT HURTS!!!!”
-
Bunge wraped them up nicely.
-
There is only one real enemy in this game. The Ahamkara? No. The Taken? Nein. The Hive? Nuh-uh. The Vex? Negative. The Cabal? Nope. The Fallen? Nah. The Darkness? No sir. The only enemy here is Endgame.
-
With the state of destiny 2 I very much doubt it but the very same sound you can hear on venus can be heard in the EDZ near the cabal base so there might be a chance for this but not as a enemy character.
-
1 ReplyJust. Give. Me. Back. Bones. Of. Eao.
On another note, I would love it to see those big scaly bois flying around...
-
5 RepliesThat would require talent, time, money, and dedication from reliable people. You think you're gonna get that from Bungie?
-
1 ReplyThe gauntlets in D2 are lame, only one tripmine but can see where you’re opponent runs of too 👎🏻
-
No because they went on strikes and moved onto other amazing games like Monster Hunter World.

It would be cool to see the Ahamkara in future content. Personally I would use the plot device of what the Cabal were doing on Io to reintroduce them. It would work something like this -When the Cabal released the Travelers light from within Io,the bones of the Ahamkara absorbed it and the light resurrected them.
