The problem isn't lack of content, it's the incentive to play that content.
Prestige gear is just a glow stick version of the normal gear
Prestigious nightfalls only get you emblems and auras
Cosmetics and reskins can only suffice for so long

22 Replieslol, remember that time D2 was announced and the forums shit themselves because emblems weren't transferring? i do. funny how selective memory works. #BungieListens #ForumsForget

1 Replyto be fair, the prestige armor now has added perks
-
Skins, reskins and emote are the new cool friendship loot. Enjoy the eververse endgame.
-
cheap, quick, and easy seem to be the over-riding factors. I think Bungie should go back and re-examine why people blew through the campaign content in 20 hrs just to wind up spending more time grinding heroic public events.

1 ReplyI’m with you. I’m not playing to be the prettiest model on the runway. The day someone can show me video of an aura killing an end boss I’ll care about them. Show me the emblem that ups my efficiency in any content. Having them just to impress people I don’t know and will never meet? Not interested.

8 Replieshttps://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/7sg9r4/destiny_data_analysis_how_many_rolls_were_there/ Just putting this here, so people can see how far destiny has fallen, in terms of the loot we used to chase....

I agree fully. I dont give a flying fuq about no damn emblem or an aura. When people get excited for the possibility of great loots for their hours of progression they think of shiny new powerful guns and cool-looking armor. I'm so sick of being rewarded with crappy shaders and redundant mods that must be disassembled individually. I dont even care about the whole eververse scam anymore. The real problem is lack of excitement for loots. Emblems and auras are definitely NOT LOOT. There's basically no desire to tryhard anymore.

3 RepliesEmblems? Auras? Tokens? Where the hell is the "incentive" to play? I stopped playing a few weeks ago. So did my clan buddies. None of logged in last week for the Iron Banner. Where's the "incentive" when you only get tokens that will allow you to buy gear at a miserable power level much below yours? Where's the "incentive" when you have to play dozens of games just to get an ugly ornament or emblem? Nightfalls, raids and regular PvP (including IB and Crimson Days) only give you s.h.i.t. and tokens. The prestige versions gives you the same, plus an emblem and an aura. Just to show off at the Tower to tell everyone else that you wasted your time to get this? Where's the "incentive"? Trials of the Nine? No way, I won't serve myself as an appetizer for cheaters and end up with nothing. The lately added masterwork armour didn't lure me back. No way, I won't waste my time grinding and doing those boring raids just in hope I get something... Those "revamped" nightfalls won't get me back either. I won't waste my time just for s.h.i.t.t.y. emblems and auras. I'll come back and try the next DLC in May (as I made the mistake and paid for both DLCs). Until then, this time is mine, and D2 won't be a part of it. D2 could have been such a great game. Shame on you Bungie.

Agreed play world at war that stuff is classed as the trash rewards, in this game they dish it out as if it's supposed to be the best rewards. Just check out Crimson Days loot 😂 it's a bloody joke, emblem a dance and other total 💩.

10 RepliesRandom rolls and meaningful armor might get me to reinstall Destiny 2. Might.

I'd say it's a combination. I find the gameplay loop thoroughly dull and stopped playing weeks ago once I realised getting those last couple of levs to 335 actually felt like being at work, and the powerful engram drop algorithm kept spitting out gear in my highest slots week after week. I also have zero interest in pursuing some emblem, or ghost that once re-shaded looks virtually the same as all the others. I just can't face another bloody public event either. Apparently, bungie has their own dedicated play testers, so I'd like to know what game they are playing cus they sure as hell aren't playing this one all day!

4 RepliesThe game have a decent content Everything is just too easy to get Im ok with emblems and new auras Maybe you have to be patient

Edited by AUTOMATIK 2006: 2/10/2018 6:10:47 PMI don't like when people make post to hate on D2, I think it's stupid. But this post I agree with 100% Re-Skins are the worst thing in the game. I want all new designs like they did with the trials of the nine weapons, and I want them with exclusive perks.
-
1 ReplyI'm impressed by anyone with the raid aura as finding another 5 people still playing is the hardest challenge in D2!
-
I agree. The release of the emblems are... fine but we need actual gear.
-
I find no real reason to do a prestige nightfall even though i have done it before... you should get an extra high level gear reward or something which makes people want to do it. Idgaf about some dumb glowing thing on my head.
-
More unique guns and armor please. Thanks Bungie.
-
did is the a looting game, on which you have to pay for the loot. so ready you`re wallet
-
166 RepliesYou actually get more loot from the nightfall than you ever did I destiny 1. I don't understand what you guys want. You want loot but then complain when it's too easy, hard or grindy. You complain when you get too much loot or not enough........ Make your mind up.

2 RepliesFWIW, Hard Mode raids in D1 only rewarded glow-stick versions of the normal gear too. (And Exotic versions of previously-Legendary elemental weapons, but that's a whole separate point of contention.) Nightfalls in D1 only rewarded blue flames and maybe a ghost or a repeat weapon. Cosmetics and reskins were what people were happily chasing barely 6 months ago, and suddenly everyone's upset at Bungie for following a model people loved and wholeheartedly pursued right up the end of D1? (If you want to get REALLY nitpicky, most raid guns themselves were just re-skinned Vanguard weapons with a different paint job or a little Hive husk glued on...I loved my Fang of Ir Yut, but it was just an Arc Another NITC that took nearly a year to get.)
-
1 ReplyNo but they are an interesting step towards Strike specific lewt. I for one an looking forward to the next update...
-
1 ReplyMay be boring to you, but after following a "glowstick" all over Leviathan that was one of the coolest dudes I've met in game and he was rightfully proud of his accomplishments. Sure gave me the incentive to try to excel to that level.

Especially when we can't keep the auras

3 RepliesDid you miss the part where they said rare and powerful gear?
I think you did....
