I accidentally posted this in #Destiny1, and I realized that not many folks monitor there as much as #Destiny2 and I wanted to share this with everyone I could as I am quite proud of it; plus feedback helps me grow and learn as a small-time content creator and I value that above all else!
This took a long time to make, had to look around for a place in Destiny 2 that would serve as a Greenscreen. (i.e. one solid color with no weathering on it. So I needed to find a place that had no bullet holes, scratches, etc.) Had to do a ton of glitching to find something that actually worked, once I got that figured out, I was able to edit in Origin Story over Destiny 1 footage. In the process everything came out looking kinda ghosty so I went with that and added in eerie music and some comments from the game.
Anyway, enough of me yapping. Tell me what you think? Thanks for your time Guardians! Have a great day! :)

Good work. I enjoyed that! Haven’t seen some of those settings in a long time. Destiny has some amazing settings.

1 ReplyI still love the original Destiny. So many good memories, great hours with friends ... And the Ambiente was so beautiful. Looking at the sun from the lighthouse is like meditation Link

1 ReplyMan, I don't know what it is but D1 is so magical... I still remember waking up from death back in 2016. I really love how D1 looks too.
-
1 ReplyAs some one who loves Destiny, inventive films, and a bit of nostalgia...that was excellent. Definitely wasn't what I expected, but thoroughly enjoyed! Submit that to the Creations page for MOTW.

2 RepliesBump for later please?

4 RepliesIn three minutes you managed to capture exactly what D1 was and D2 is not...and you barely scratched the surface. That’s probably at least a little bit of the nostalgia speaking, but there were just so many memorable moments and lines in D1. Amazing video. Please submit for MoW. It may even help Bungie capture some of that lightning in a bottle they had in D1.

Edited by MoonlightHare: 2/9/2018 9:42:47 PMVery good. It made me feel quite sad and nostalgic. As though I was looking in on something that I could not join but wanted to. Well done

3 RepliesI wish D1 can become relevant/populated again somehow. Unfortunately those times have past. Never thought I could be so bummed out over a video game.

10 RepliesEdited by VQ: 2/9/2018 4:06:14 AMThat was probably one of the best fan videos I have seen in awhile, I almost think the ghosty effects you were talking about from the editing went better with the music. If you haven’t submitted it for Movie of The Week there’s a sure shot something this well done will catch their eye. Brought me back to a game I loved and made so many friends with, and hurt even more when I came back to see what we have now.

1 ReplyThat's good....scrap that, it's great! It lets the viewer reminisce about their own in-game experiences.

8 RepliesEdited by Senor Crouch: 2/8/2018 10:29:29 PMWow, that brought me back. All those memories. The good and the bad. God, the fun I had on Destiny 1. lol Then that "I don't have time to explain..."...brings me back to the time when the MOAR VAULT SPACE movement was in full swing right as the Dark Below was coming out. You know I even look back at those times with fond memories...cause back then I still had my Light....my faith in Bungie. And in the end...they won.......we lost. It was a good run, I'll tell ya that. Knowing what Destiny 1 became, I will always treasure every bit of my experience from that game. That was before the Dark. Now we are just bits of lore, slowly fading away. Hope dwindles, bonds of trust gone. We should have been better prepared, but we were foolish....we chose to ignore the writing on the walls. And here I sit, a broken Guardian, talking to you all, reminiscing about a time that is long gone. Cheers, this is to all of us who were a part of that adventure. To all who were there till the end. To all who stood there as the Darkness descended upon the world we fell in love with. To all who tried to fight back in unison. To all who fell. Maybe one day a new Light will touch this world and breathe life into the Guardians of Old...one day.
