With all the people claiming this game is dead and the number reports coming in, it is hard to see them come back from this.
New games have taken away so many people and more great games will be releasing this year.
I love destiny, but I'm in a constant state of fear that something I loved will disappear into a memory of what not to do in the game industry.
I pray for this games success.

1 ReplyAs much as I am disappointed with D2 I will keep playing and so will many others, it will not die, it will just never be as good as D1, or have the feeling where you just can’t wait to get on and grind. It’s an average game now, D1 had a unique feel to it, I think maybe the variety of items, for example, same weapon drops but with different perks. Anyways, it’s sad, but just making the best of it.

I loved D1... and i really enjoyed the first 4 weeks of D2... then only disappointment. My Clan is always full (100 members) and we have a secondary clan... same... nowadays from the secondary clan no one is playing and from the main clan no more than 2 members.... this is the reality D2 is dead. RIP D2.

Fortnite is 10x more fun and it's free!

2 RepliesNo one except the hipster pieces of trash want the game to die. Everyone else that has enjoyed the franchise over the years want to see it improve and go on.
-
46 RepliesDon't worry, it won't. It will only get better when the majority of the trolls, whiners, and solo babies move on and it's just the people that genuinely enjoy the game left.

5 RepliesEdited by l Beanie l: 2/2/2018 9:49:42 AMI sold D2 last week. The game sucks. I don't want it to die either though!... I'm not one for playing all kinds of different games.. I literally played 2 games for the last 4 years ... D1 and some GTA here n there. So now I've sold D2, I have no games I actually want to play. It sucks. Hopefully they actually listen to the main complaints of D2 (static rolls, weapon system tiers, 4v4, ttk, everything that is missing from D1) and I can re-buy later in the year and enjoy it again.

Edited by hoodedgamer32: 2/2/2018 5:33:13 PMi hope it gets better in dlc 2, the final bosses have improed so far, but still very repetitive

18 RepliesStop listen i ng to people on here. The game isn't going to die. They are in development of d3 already. Look at a game like Monster Hunter World after a month. I guarantee the daily numbers will have dropped off significantly. According to the standards around here that would be classified as a massive failure. I havn't played d2 in a few days, but that doesn't mean I won't be back for each dlc.

6 Repliesits dead , look at the roadmap , nothing serious till the march update ...even still , time to kill will still be the same , mobility will still be the same.... they're adding unique loot to strikes and nightfalls months later and im willing to bet the "unique" loot is trashola .... look at the unique weapons for iron banner "trash"... non of the things they're "fixing" will make the game feel like destiny 1 which is what would bring back alot of players, they're fixing trash that should've been in this game day one and some of the fixes are hilarious, like *exotic duplicate drops fixed lol (bc who the hell cares)....
-
well this is what happens when you make a PvP mode in a game that has loot instead of fixed weapons like halo. i knew this was coming because if borderlands had pvp it would be just as bad. i loved D1 even though it had its moments it was more exciting to play for the last 3 years unlike this broken shell of a game that doesn't compare even to the level of fun the first game had. some.things improved yes but the core mechanics are not fixed they are broken now. kinda wish the old bungie employees would still be around and that destiny would die and bungie would go back to halo but that's a pipe dream lol

2 RepliesLet it die
-
With all these changes that should have come on day 1, I feel like I'm playing the destiny 2 beta
-
If the upcoming PVP changes bring back the fun factor of the previous era, the streamers will come back and new fans will be made and many old fans will come back. If they aren't able to recreate a fun and exciting PVP experience, they will face an uphill battle to regain their cred for the rest of the franchise.
-
1 ReplyToo Late, hopefully they'll give the rights to D3 to a competent studio.
-
6 RepliesDon't think it will die. The valleys will be longer and deeper between dlc's though. I'm guessing the majority of players bought Destiny 2 with the 2 dlc's. I think the real test comes with this Fall's expansion. I've always pre-ordered everything Destiny. Those days are over. I'll wait for some non biased reviews before I buy again.
-
It can’t improve, everything that’s been done so far in answer to fans requests has been smoke and mirrors.. nothing fundamentally has changed.
-
More important things to pray for than a game.

14 RepliesI’ve seen 5 new people that hadn’t played destiny before, get into it. Destiny might be dieing here on the cancerous forums, but new players are joining. You can’t please everyone. Those who b*tch about it constantly on here just cast a big shadow. Destiny 2 is still a good game. Not a great game by any means, but a good game. Destiny’s survived worse.

Even though I hate what Destiny 2 has become. There's no denying that I still love this game, and I REALLY do want it to succeed.
KUPO!!!™
I agree but it's the small tweaks that are getting to me. This titan skating thing is coming back without addressing the agile character of the game the Hunter. And the throttling of rewards like the faction rally did. Idk I still play the game but it's getting hard to keep loving it.
-
Content drought is a problem for me. You can only reskin crucible and public events so many times.

2 Replieshttps://www.google.co.uk/amp/www.eurogamer.net/amp/2018-02-02-bungie-is-making-destiny-2-faster-and-more-lethal Looks like they actually might be paying attention all we need now is implementation

Here’s some word play for you: “I don’t want Destiny to die” “Destiny want to die, I don’t” Cheers 🥃 (J. Walker Blue Label)

I just wanted a good game. Instead we got this nerfed shell of D1.
-
I wish I could say the same. I loved D1 thru all the years, even with all it's problems I never stopped playing. D2 came out and I was super excited for it and it looked awesome, but as I played it was just boring. Weapons were boring, the item designs were boring, and the Strikes were boring. They may come back from this, but idk if I will ever come back to the Destiny universe. I hope so, I really so but we shall see
