1. They could've listened to their community and removed eververse.
2. They could've listened to their community to bring back random rolls.
3. They could've listened to their community to bring back specialweapons.
4. They could've listened to their community and lowered the ttk in pvp.
5. They could've listened to their community to make strike specific loot.
Nothing of the above has either been adressed or patched. They've given up guys. Bungie has accepted destiny 2 as a failure and moved on to make destiny 3.
It's time to let bungie die in peace. It's been a good run though hasn't it?

5 RepliesEdited by Kel of Kells: 2/1/2018 12:02:49 PMTo be fair, some of these changes are pretty big and aren’t something they could just bust out in a month or two. Changing back to random rolls means you’d have to either change every single gun to have random rolls (and what of every gun already out there?) or you’d have to implement new guns with a content drop that do have random rolls. Which would then mean you’d need to create a lot more guns so there’s every kind of archetype of gun so people can get whatever rolls they want on whatever kind of gun. Sandbox update is ridiculous we should’ve had one that wasn’t “nerfed shoulder charge” by this point. Bringing back special weapons (or something similar to it) is being addressed in the future, but once again it’s something that probably isn’t so easy to just do. There’s complications with how ammo works, what would go where, what would happen to all of the energy primaries, what would stay heavy, what damage would have to be scaled differently, etc. Strike specific loot (or a variation of it) is coming soon as well. It’s in their roadmap they just put out as heroic strike exclusive rewards or a name similar to that. And finally, you’re an idiot if you thought they’d remove eververse completely. There’s so many variables to that issue that wouldn’t work with removing the store. The ONLY fix I could’ve seen done would be similar to BFII where they removed the ability to purchase their micro transactions, and only allowed them to be bought with in game currency. In D2’s case, they’d be restricting anyone from being able to buy anything, and it would just be a matter of getting the xp to get another one to drop.

1 ReplyGiven the development roadmap they posted yesterday, clearly they haven't given up on D2. They may not be making the changes you want, but they certainly haven't stopped work on it.
-
10 RepliesIf you're so -blam!-ing good you make a patch to sort all of the problems out in a few months, fully tested and compatible. Stop being so self entitled and if you don't like it don't play it.

Edited by puppyk1sses: 2/1/2018 8:28:11 PMI think they truly abandoned the idea of making a great game. That potential we saw in Vanilla D1 over 3 years ago is dead and buried. We know their business strategy and their plan is simply to milk it for as much $ for as little work as possible. They have ppl running around in these super small lifeless zones doing a very small predictable boring circle of activities. It’s like little hamsters running around on very small wheels. Our live events that our MT money is supposedly funding are nothing. Run on the same hamster wheel doing the exact same gameplay loop and just getting new shinies for it. The rewards get better but the wheel never even changes or expands. How many times are we expected to do the same boring 5 strikes and the same boring public events in the same boring planets?

1 ReplyEververse isn't really much of a problem as people make it seem. I wouldn't even include Eververse in my top 10 problems with this game.
-
13 RepliesThank god they don't listen to your sect of the community.
-
I agree with the exception of eververse, Activision wouldn't let that one go
-
If you actually thought they wrestler going to remove eververse then you are the most gullible person on the planet. To say they've given up because they haven't filled out your little list is hilarious. This is their game not yours.
-
I only agree with 4 and 5, the rest will not sort out the game just make it either more grindy or just bring back the balance problem in d1.
-
17 RepliesFunny part is, all that stuff is gone because they listened to the D1 community.
-
meh. i agree with 4., but the rest is bleh. i'm done with D1.
#IgnoreEververse.
1 ReplyBlah, blah, blah... Same shit, different a**hole.

1 ReplyThe fact there is a group of neckbeards on this forum that want to see everything fail world because they too fail at life is hilarious. Why they come to this forum to try justify their worthless existence is even more hilarious.

You are very right they have given up on D2. Main reason being for one thing look at the lore nothing as rich or immersive as the first Destiny (all DLC included). They introduce a sequel and don't tell us what happened in the previous game. Granted I am all about mystery and learning about things as they happen, however it feels like D1 never existed prior to this game. No new Speaker, or showing Consequences for losing the Speaker. Even though the Traveler is now awake and Dark Pyramid things might be heading our way. Everything seems fine no one mentions what to do with out the Speaker, treating it as a thing of no consequence. What happened to the Stranger? Why are all Fallen wearing the same thing, except for the one group of Fallen during a mission on Titan? Whats the current state of the Universe? What happened to the Awoken at the reef? Let alone Bungies previous Tweet about the lore being considered "folklore", and you can clearly spot the difference between the last writing team and this one. That being said moving on to Bungie having three years of experience with Destiny 1, what worked what didn't. After all that time to tweak and tune things building up a game as a full on sequel. Only to give us a game with enviorments that are bland and shallow with nothing interesting to offer. Hyping lost sectors at E3 saying they are new areas to explore and master, when in reality they were really just loot caves full of stuff you dont need main reason being, the loot system is horrible. I have played D2 since it has been released, and stopped playing Monday this week. And I still have been using the same weapons Nameless Midnight, Hard Light, and Play of the Game. Why? Nothing else is really new or good, yes there are other weapons in the game. But to be honest there is only one of them. There are no more random rolls or god rolls, just the same item. No strike exclusive weapons or gear, so why bother playing it on harder level besides just to get your power level (light is not used anymore cause reasons). None of the exotics in the game have been really exciting to get, there was not a single exotic in this game I was desperatley chasing like Ghallajorn or Red Death. And of course the other things you all have been made aware of XP throttling to force your hand at Eververse, cooldowns on chest you can get during public events or lost sector. And a random thought how is it a "LOST SECTOR" if it's marked with a giant white symbol clearly someone already found it, just saying. I know there are those of you that still defend Destiny 2, and thats ok you like the game. I love the Destiny universe playing all of Destiny and all the DLC's seeing where D2 could have been headed was great, and then seeing what happened to it, and where it is going now is horribly dissappointing in every way. Its almost like finishing High School, and instead of moving on to College and really challenging yourself, you go back to middleschool. Ya'll take care and enjoy.

2 RepliesYeah, but they fixed: "Cayde now properly acknowledges player accomplishments during Mercury Flashpoint weeks when granting the Flashpoint engram, rather than asking the player about the weather on Io" - Bungie LOL
-
2 RepliesIt takes them forever and a day to launch patches........................... do you really think if they're slow to fix issues, they just going to rework the entire core of the game?
-
No they havent. It's just the way it have been during Destiny time. The players just bent over, spread wide and took anything that Bingo put out there ... they are used to that. And now that people can't take it anymore, it's a shock for them since everything they gauged in Destiny 1 was so welcome by the players. Now people are fed up, their bottoms hurt and they don't want to take it anymore and Bingo don't know what to do since they are not used to working ...
-
Agreed.
