Is PC Cheating in the Crucible Even Possible??
Now I will be the first to admit I am VERY average in PvP. I give as good as I get.....most of the time....with a rare standout game and a rare "I REALLY sucked" kind of game.
But last night I was in a quickplay match that just seemed really odd.
I was playing fairly well all night....had about 7 matches under my belt when all of a sudden.....I ran into a complete buzzsaw.
I could not kill any of those guys no matter what. Using a Positive Outlook....at range. I POUNDED one guy and his health bar never went down.....consequently, he calmly stood there....at range ...and two shotted me with a hand cannon. And I was moving in and out of cover and frankly thought I was being hard to hit.
Now either this guy had the fastest reflexes I have ever seen and should be flying F-22's....or something was just not kosher.
The buddies were the same....they were just destroying my pickup team. And we were trying to stay close and coordinate fire.....like every other Crucible match I have ever been in. One of my Pickup team just dropped out pretty quickly (maybe he smelled something amiss or was frustrated....who knows) but the three of us continued. Results: I got ONE kill (with a Rocket Launcher) and each of them got two kills each.
That is pretty darn low and maybe I just suck and ran into an EXTREMELY good team.....or maybe some monkey business was going on. None of the opposing team was listing the same clan.
So back to my question.....can people actually cheat in the Crucible on PC?? Aimbots and hacks and such??? The same kind of crap that drove me from PUBG??

With a Xim4 pad (something you use to connect a keyboard and mouse to console) you can effectively have the controllers aim assist. For whatever reason destiny 2 reads the xim4 as a controller input. Effectively giving you aimbot thats basically legit. Another thing people do is lots of shady things to get people to lag.

It's on PC, some doucebag is gonna find out how to cheat and sell the coding.

One of the main reasons why blizzard removed aim assist from OW was for this reason. I mean if they can get through blizzard anticheat they can definitely bypass something trashy like bungies ac. A lot of them are cheating, running xim4, or just using a controller. Pvp is trash in destiny 2. Not only that, but you got to deal with 1 strat of team shooting since ttk is so high. Aimbot, xim4, controller team shooting will destroy any group just using m&k. 1v1 you wont even be able to head glitch because youll just get headshotted nonstop. In your case what you explained, you mightve been lagging since these servers are pretty trash or he was lag switching. Overall destiny 2 pvp is shietttt

I used to play quick play, but as of the month, have been having fun playing in the competitive playist, at least it felt like more of a challenge than quick play. Last weekend, I was starting to feel like competitive was feeling a little too easy (that's saying something because I am not the best at PvP) not saying I was stomping everyone, but it just didn't feel like "competitive." So...I went back to quick play and oh my god it was hard to play. The few matches I played, I got stomped each time, and was very hard to get kills. Unloading clips into players only to get easily killed. One match, i solo queued in and was going against a team of 4 guardians in the same clan. I got wrekt. I went back to competitve lol

sadly i see this a lot on console, and at least in the console case its lag. one team become invincible, your bullets don't count, theirs count twofold. the p2p code is to blame (console anyways)
