2 RepliesI sexually identify as a glycoprotein ever since I was a little peptide I wanted to attach to the nearest glycolipid and empty my spicy chemical load in to the cytoplasm of the cell. People say that that’s impossible and that I am too thick , but I don’t care I am beautiful. I am having the Golgi apparatus and Rough ER attach carbohydrates to my body. From now on you guys will call me “glyco” and respect my right to diffuse in to the inner membrane. If you can’t accept then you are a cytophobe and need to check your cell identification privilege. Thank you for being so understanding.

2 RepliesOr and this is a complex concept. But what about having a good in game story AND a codex?
-
gri·moire ɡrimˈwär/ noun a book of magic spells and invocations. This is the actual definition of "grimoire". I'm arguing semantics here. Change it to Codex and have one for each category, like in D1.
-
1 ReplyLook at the quality of D1 grimoire compared to D2 Lore. The writing now seems uninspired. Like a new writing team that’s been given an assignment versus a passionate author conveying their beloved vision. The Depth is gone I fear.
-
3 RepliesFor the love of God, please don't request the grimoire (worst name for a codex in the history of gaming by the way)! It was used as an excuse for a lackluster story in D1. "Where was the story?" "Oh, it was tied into the grimoire." There are many things that need fixed in D2, grimoire needs to be included just as much as Eververse needs removing- in other words, they don't. Bungie needs to fix the rewards system and give us a reason to play/grind (random rolls, I am looking at you!). TL;DR- grimoire=poor story telling in D1

2 RepliesI’ve said this before and I’ll say it again. Mass Effect 1 had a Codex with a narrator in the game. How old is ME1 now?
-
8 RepliesThe grimoire is in the game

1 ReplyLet's dumb everything in destiny down, and now even its story and history. Give the community some comics. The big words of the lore were to difficult for our childr.... I mean players. Sorry :/

1 ReplyI second this. The Grimoire was way more fun to engage with than the lore they've added to the game. Not only is the lore in D2 inconsistent with everything we already know, but it seems to disregard most of the knowledge as well, playing it off as 'fairytales' instead of actual insight. If only they had added a codex like Mass Effect did.
-
3 RepliesNever going to happen. At best they will make a 10 page comic explaining all of destiny history. Im really losing hope for destiny, an I dont mean D2 as im not sure it will ever get sorted but I mean the destiny universe. Its future.

1 ReplyWhat someone should do is write a series of novels like they did with Halo. I’ve read just about every book in the Halo universe and a Destiny series would be -blam!-ing epic!
-
6 RepliesI don't understand why they didn't give us some type of library or codex like you mentioned. They relied to heavily on people using the app and forum to re read this info when they could have just put it into the game so we could access it easier whenever we wanted to read some lore? I understand a lot of people don't care too much about it but there is a big following of people who do, so why not add that (that is if they bring it back anyways)?

Joe Staten and his writers wrote the stories for the grimore. None of those people work for Bungie anymore so the story is kinda lost now.
-
3 RepliesDidn’t you hear? Bungie now have said only the comics are canon and the grimoire is now just ‘folklore’.
-
3 RepliesDid you hear the grimoire is no longer canon and is now folklore? The new writer just hand wove it away.
