* Instead of keeping shotties, snipers, and fusions in the heavy slot or moving them to the secondary slot, why not just make a new slot?
* This allows PVE folks to have fun and pvp folks to maintain their balance by having the ammo for the slot be similar to heavy ammo.
*to switch to this slot all you would have to do is rapidly press the swap button 2x, thus allowing seamless transitions through all weapons.
* This super easy to implement, literally all Bungi has to do is transfer snipes, fusions, and shotties to a new slot and have a new color of ammo.
Seriously, how long would that take? Plus it would be a good start to rebuilding SOME trust with us.

19 RepliesYou sir, are assuming something is simple, however you only showed to have no understanding of what underlying changes are needed to accomplish said change. (just because you think they can just copy paste D1 stuff) Your change would take months of programming, testing and reprogramming. For example, ammo drops. You kill a mob with kinetic and it drops energy ammo, viceversa for kinetic ammo. 3-bar yellow mobs drop heavy ammo. How do you suggest your *special* ammo is dropped? New weapon slot. Change to sandbox, interface player inventory, button-mechanics, reprogramming said weapons to a different class to work with the new ammo, which all cost quite a bit of testing to make sure they function as intended. Thats not saving the weapon system..
