The competitive helmet ornament needs a change in its requirement
I hate Competitive. Whether it be people leaving, The other team having players WAY beyond my skill range or Teammates generally just not knowing how to play competitively, It's a chore to say the least.
That's why I think the Helmet Ornament is asking way too much as a requirement.
Here's what it is

If you're not a competitive player, or aren't very good at PVP, maybe you shouldn't be chasing the competitive gear? Though, I imagine you'd be able to do it after some grinding. Maybe try grinding out another set? If there weren't any rewards specific to competitive, what would be the point of anyone playing competitive? Everything needs specific gear.

I'm horrible at FPS games and I think I'm 9 wins away from getting my helm ornament. And despite being as bad as I am... I had a game where someone quit out of our group after the other team got first blood in the first game... and despite being a man down and having my incredibly shitty ass on the team, we still won 5-2. And I also had a run on Monday where I ran into 4 or 5 matches of stacked teams (3 players running together) while soloing. Me and 3 other blueberries managed to win half of those matches. If the [i]grind[/i] is too much for you... then obviously you don't want the ornament that badly.

1 ReplyI solo que into competitive all the time. 25 wins isn't that hard. Remember the buddy system and stick with a team mate.

The one crucible ornament that you actually have to actively put in some work for (because let’s be fair, the other 4 you basically completed without realization whilst doing call to arms or crucible challenge milestone) and this guy wants to get it just for participating :’) Git Gud son, I am trash at crucible still, but by putting a team together from companion app LFG I got 25 wins, with only 2 losses in between.

Just have to grind it out man, I did and it really wasn’t that bad. It’s not ubber fun but it’s not god awful.

2 RepliesGit gud. This is why trials died towards the end of destiny 1. WAAAAH i can't win 9 matches in a row. it's not fair if only people who can complete the game game mode get the rewards. Seriously they should just put a chest at the start of each raid that gives you all the gear if you cant be bothered to do the raid.

We practically unlocked other 4 ornaments with little effort and that's why we feel it's a lot of work towards helmet's. Besides I only need 3 more wins towards this unlock. ^^

1 ReplyAll this gg is bs. Yes u can grid it out but the point is with latency and cheaters. And no Choice selection crucible is stale and boring and the drive to complete is not there for most. And if you have a crap team or solo is going to suck even more not everyone has friends they can play with every minute of the day.

Life is littered with successes and failures and learning to deal with both is something we all need to get to grips with. Edit: Also, bad form to always blame your teammates for losing (excluding being matched against strong opponents).

7 RepliesIt absolutely does not need a change. That's like saying you should be able to get raid gear without playing the raids. I'm a below average PvP player and I got the helmet ornament within a few days of persistently playing the Competitive Crucible playlist. If you don't care enough about PvP to get 25 wins in Competitive Crucible, why should you be able to have the Crucible helmet ornament?
