So, we’ve all been dealing with #RemoveEververse and you all should in fact realize that they aren’t going to fully remove it. Ever. Because almost every AAA game has them (-blam!-ing supply drops...) and you know either they HAVE or HAVE NOT been paying attention to our pleads so if anything the most we can do is continue the remove eververse tread.
You know they won’t remove it, but they might nerf what it sells.
But there is another way, not purchasing shit. Logging on to destiny to tell the noobs and new casual Christmas noobs NOT to purchase into eververse, they might in fact listen to you and we’ll be able to strike them right in the wallet
Low eververse income = Low amounts of money
Low amounts of money = Them looking into why no ones buying anything
Them looking into why no ones buying anything = If they make or break eververse.
Seems like a simple plan for you to do.

Never started purchasing in the first place unless I have the insane amount of bright dust because I earn my engrams. Yes you can earn the engrams if you play enough and actually level up and grind for them holy shit. I was able to purchase one of the exotic ships and the gift giving emote because I had alot of bright dust. After i did that I earned two illuminated engrams by actually playing the game and leveling up and got the selfie emote holy shit bucks. The microtransactuons are there if you want to buy in bulk without any work but if your willing to work for it you can actually earn engrams. But wait why would you because everything in eververse is useless miscellaneous pieces of junk that give no advantage to the game omg. Basically stop bitching about the microtransactuons and eververse because the game isn't pay to win it's pay to look fabulous.
-
too late. bought ikora’s resolve or whatever that ship is called. guess how much miney i spent on it? $0 and i still have 3k dust left which also was free.
-
The best way for them to fix eververse, because let's get real, it'll never be removed, is to remove the loot box system or radically increase your chances of getting something good. Make it to where I can select an armour set, emote, ghost, etc...that I want and pay for it directly. Games have done this before and no one gave a shit, because it's optional, and you get what you pay for. Not a chance to get what you pay for.

1 ReplyDestiny 2 was rebooted, just like Destiny 1. Bungie never learns.
-
Yeah. Then they'll come out with there own bitcoin. In game bitcoin. Worth $20,000
-
Nah. I'mma do what I want.
-
I'm gonna buy me some of them crimson days engrams
-
You seriously can't get people to not buy what they want with their own money. Believe me... most don't buy shit on Eververse, but few do. And that's more than nothing for pixels that don't cost Bungie shit. It's unlimited supply and all profit. Also, kiddies who are gifted game cards spend that shit on useless crap like adults do on coffee.

7 RepliesI love buying Eververse stuff because I'm not poor and I want to give them money to keep making more content for the game I enjoy. Just getter a better job scrub.
-
I use to think that but realized that it's not enough to simply not buy from Eververse. Here's what to look at: do they make more money overall with or without Eververse. Say two people buy the game. One buys things from Eververse. The other was open to it, but found that it was not worth it and refused. Bungie still makes more money since player one could buy something. The only way this works is if keeping Eververse in the game costs them more money than keeping it would make them. We have to refuse to buy any dlc or sequels as long as Eververse is there. That's the only way it'll be removed. I've stopped playing and encouraged friends to not purchase the game.

Edited by TheShadow-cali: 1/11/2018 3:43:48 AMI don't even play D2 anymore so no problem here.

Edited by Akbarkakar: 1/11/2018 4:27:53 AMPeople with money don't care what you have to say, they want the new shiny shit just to spite you. Whales Do not care. My friend has spent $300 already and he doesn't care and he's not even one of the high spenders. He also doesn't care. I have 20 clan friends that I know personally spent $300+ each and they don't care. I mean out of 100 people that's quite a bit.
-
I for one will not play until it is removed. They went too far. If it stayed like D1, I wouldn't have cared nearly as much.
-
The reality is: People who play the game a lot dont need to buy silver, but complain about it the most. People who dont have time to play a lot need to buy silver, but dont usually give a crap enough to do so.

Edited by Bicepus Maximus: 1/11/2018 1:28:12 AMMany of you guys do not seem to be getting the point of why eververse is bad for the game. Bungie has designed the game, and just had an event called the dawning, to increase micro-transaction revenue from eververse. In other words, eververse has negatively impacted the design of the game. For example, let's look at armor. Compare armor in Destiny 1 to Destiny 2. Destiny 1 armor offered much more in the way of unique attributes to the game with additional perks from harder content like raid specific perks. Destiny 2 armor is bland with pretty much the same perks regardless how attained. Guess what, armor is also sold in eververse. Now, if Bungies NUMBER one concern is selling armor in eververse it needs armor to be normalized across the entire game with the only discerning characteristic COSMETIC. Therefore, value is NOT based ON ACOMPLISHMEMTS IN GAME. Go on your Destiny 2 character and compare armor pieces, even raid pieces. By making armor meaningless and defining value in cosmetic terms Bungie increased the value of armor purchased on eververse. Another characteristic of games designed to increase revenue is to redefine character advancement to be cosmetic. If everyone got all the best gear from playing the game (like raids) why buy anything from the store.... Ever wonder why you get free gear from clan engrams. Obtaining gear by not participating in the content???? You all keep complaining about nothing to do in the game and the reason is eververse. Not to mention the developer time devoted to eververse and the half-baked systems designed to increase micro-transaction revenue that diminish other aspects to the game. Why is there nothing to do? It is because Bungie wants you paying, not playing.

We aren’t going to stop the people that buy from eververse from doing so. It’s a small number of people compared to the player base. Not buying dlc/games is the only real way to show them. Or if they actually make a change pro actively based on complaints but I’m guessing they’ll just make subtle changes until they can rework the system to integrate eververse in a deeper manner.
-
Need to add not logging in. Period. An organized blackout could do wonders.
-
4 RepliesNever have, never will. I didn't even use that "free" silver they gave us in D1. It was my silent protest for them to shove eververse up their ass.
-
2 RepliesNot buying Eververse things doesn't fix shit. All items behind Eververse SHOULD and MUST drop from doing activities. Instead of "oh i did shit and here is my cookie in the form of a bright engram" it should be "I completed this activity and this crazy stuff dropped and its only available by doing this!" Don´t back down now, Eververse is the new endgame, it has to go. #Remove Eververse
-
Never have bought from it. Still won't.
-
As someone that broke the bank for D1, I’m proud to say that I haven’t spent a dime on eververse in D2 #DownWithPredatoryGaming
-
This protest would be waaaay better if you guys just stopped logging on to Destiny. Keep yelling on the forums but the numbers need to drop across the board
-
7 RepliesWho do you think you are by telling people not to purchase from Eververse.
-
4 RepliesOOOPS... I just bought the Omega Mechanos Cloak for my Hunter. Sorry... On a side note however...it did complete his Omega Mechanos set.
-
I'll buy more
-
I don't intend on spending any money on this game past the retail price. Unfortunately, this is leading to a lack of content and incentive to continue playing. I'll soon be moving onto other more rewarding and respectful games as a result.
