18 RepliesMicrotransactions need to go. I bought a few things in Destiny 1 basically as a bonus to bungie for creating a game that I got so many hours of enjoyment out of. I REGRET every single penny of it and will never buy another one ever again. This has gone from a minor little kiosk that was completely avoidable, to the game outright designed around continually sending you back there to try and sucker you in. This has passed the point where it is just cosmetic items for cash, IT IS affecting how the game is played and designed. If you buy micro transactions thinking it isn't hurting anything, it's "my money, what's the big deal?" You are so very wrong and contributing to progressively making this worse. This is shady business practice that is slowly destroying video games and it needs to be banned. You could try and get customers money be making a good product instead

This explains the detailed actual LEGAL in and outs and ACTUAL RAMIFICATIONS. EVERVERSE and other "predatory" gambling simulators from developers like Bungie UNDER INVESTIGATIVE SCRUTINY as 5 more states seek legal crackdown. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkD6VDrkfP8 CLICK ABOVE. It's officially NOW an actual legal issue. Bungie Issues Lazy Response to Broken Destiny 2 Features... Again. FINALLY, someone with pull says it how it is. "Proof that this is developed as an FPS gambling simulator" with real life concerns while "5 More US States Join the Fight Against Loot Boxes" https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jkD6VDrkfP8 Developers have become vultures and this HAS TO BE fought against. I've been saying this for awhile. Guess what, it's a for real thing with legal ramifications now. The ELEPHANT has been addressed. PS to Bungies piss poor PR staff. After all this , you need a convincing honest person to convey true empathy to the plight of the common gamer. But, you won't... DeeJ is your lackluster lackey willing to sell his soul just like his handlers, problem is that everybody notices. You're infallable reputation from Halo is gone. Get your house in order.

2 RepliesBungie's response will be something like this: "We hear the community's feedback about Eververse and have taken action upon the loot that she offers. We have added 2 new exotic emotes to her inventory and boosted XP earned across the board by 0.04%. We hope for Tess to offer valuable endgame loot to all of our guardians at no extra cost." <3 -- Luke Smith

25 RepliesThe justification of some on here saying that micro transactions are needed to subsidise production costs is mind boggling. If we don't have it the base price goes up is bull. Games compete now with block buster movies for profit margins. Did you know ea took in over 1.5 billion through loot systems last year alone excluding game sales. The argument for you can earn or buy shouldn't even exist. there was 59 items placed in evererse for this event. If I earned two a day that's a month grind. The end game is all about loot so give fair access to it. Bungie has simply throttled xp purely for monetary gains. Do not defend it.

1 ReplyI’ve pretty much got all the good emotes Armor pieces and stuff from eververse without spending a cent , just playing the game . Just saying .

FORBES is not real video game journalism. FORBES online is not even FORBES.

2 RepliesSHIT just got REAL. 18 RepliesEdited by RedhorseRaven14: 12/22/2017 12:21:34 AMI think we are placing the blame for Microtransactions on the wrong people. Developers would not use them, if players didn't pay for them. I'm neutral on the issue, microtransactions make games like Warframe possible. But games like WoW, where you pay a Subscription fee, and they also have microtransactions are just fleecing the players. Destiny falls between those 2 extremes, as long as players continue to pay for useless pretty things, developers will continue to offer them. Edit: a few people missing the point here. 1. Microtransactions are the fault of the consumer, not the developer. 2. Free to play games can only exist because of Microtransactions. 3. Huge developers who charge a subscription and don't need Microtransactions still use them because people buy stuff. 4. Destiny Microtransactions fall between FTP games need, and Subscription games greed. I'm not for, or against Microtransactions, Warcraft is a great game, Warframe is a good game, Destiny is a good game.

I saw that and decided forbes was beginning to descend into madness

Not only do I think this is a good story, I think its better than any in game story from Destiny to date! I would love to fight side by side 'thugs' from the slums, who are badass cause they ain't getting revived. Well done!

1 ReplyKill Te$$. Put her blue head on a pike. Burn her store to the ground. No more gambling. No more BS.

Screw eververse. Total rip off..

Actually that tool Paul Tassi supports it, but he has the right idea.
-
Is it wrong that I really want to play that raid?

7 Replies"Edit 1. Hmmmm 3 out of 5 top trending posts are dissatisfaction with Eververse....." Bungie doesn't care. And until the community drops this game and stops playing entirely, nothing will ever change.... and dropping this game will NEVER happen.

Lol ya and the other is a pinned thread.

1 ReplyThe Forbes guy has figured out that salt brings clicks. He's doing what he needs to do.

3 RepliesPaul Tassi is a dolt. Not funny, not really very informative, doesn't proofread his posts. Why should I trust any of his opinions? Because he is a Forbes contributor? Here's how it is: Those that can't do, teach. Those that can't teach, write. -Ragemode off-

I don't think Tess should die, but the E-$$$store should. Tess should replace that shader lady and let us customize shaders for glimmer in addition to holding shader we've already discovered and giving them to us for free...idk.
-
Give me my gally back and one overcharged shot and Tess will be no more

1 ReplyForbes hasn't been relevant for over a decade.

More satisfying would be an ending where you return to the tower. They tell you to equip a rocket launcher (if you don't have one, Banshee'll give you a cheesy white one for free). Then you go to the Eververse kiosk and start shooting high explosives at it. Eververse goes out of business in a calamitous fireball. Then, Guardian dance party.
