3v3 and 6v6 > 4v4

I want 3's back. 4v4 is the main cause of increased team shooting from the same lane which takes no still or thought process. Just wait for team mate to engage then halfway through the engagement pop up and get the kill. 3v3 teamshooting usually required you to get angles and there was less handholding. Also 1 less guy to find for trials or whatever and 1 less voice in your discord chat to pay attention to/distract you. Can't tell you how many times we're looking for a 4th to join us. Communication is good but sometimes it's too many voices.

    I don’t understand why they even made this move ... if any , they should have increased the 6v6 to like 8 or 10 v 10 . The worst part of trials was finding that one extra person that would sync well with your OG team mates, so I wonder what the reason was to make it 4 v 4 🤔

    • 3v3 was a big part of the success for D1 PVP. I played Skirmish and Elimination for hours on end! Cant even play a couple of matches without getting bored and annoyed in D2

      • The game modes and the actual primary, primary and heavy load out instead of primary, secondary and heavy ! Special gave variety to the gameplay and made it so people were always moving by themselves as they knew the could get multi kills , now everyone plays like a bitch because a 2v1 is a death sentence

      • I do have to admit that there is something just not as fun in PVP as in D1. I get better rewards now, but I don't find myself staying past having to do Call to Arms. I used to spend hours in crucible.

        • My solution is to revert to 3s and add 8 man rumble. And then import all d1 maps and update them and those are for 6s. Qp is 6s and IB, 3s are for ranked and trials. The maps are too small for even 4s and as you said, are built around team shot.

          • 4v4 lets teams split up in to 2 groups of 2 during Countdown. 3v3 wouldn't let you do this obviously. Teamshooting requires no skill? When does shooting not require skill? Its pretty hard to argue that any kind of shooting strategy requires more or less skill in a game with [i]Aim[/i] [i]Assist[/i]. I think 4v4 is flat out better for competitive than 3v3. The only reason it was 3v3 was for the flavor of the three classes. Same with Fireteams. Its done in multiples of 3 because of the classes.

            • I don't mind if they have 4 vs 4 for some game modes, but give us some freaking options. There were too many options for D1 and now it's the other extreme. I'd pick 6 vs 6 Control every day of the week.

              4v4 is more fun to me than 6v6. I've had 3v3 happen before in D2 and its so empty. maps are too big for it. we just need 4v4 and 6v6 queues. P.S. if you think 3 other voices is too distracting, then 1. you've never played an MMO 2. 6v6 won't make that any less crowded.

                • Yea, but unfortunately 6v6 on these maps with slow movement would be terrible. I loved PvP in Destiny 1, but even some of the maps in that game were too small for 6v6. Other games have different sized maps for different team sizes, but Destiny doesn't do that. It's a shame, because at least then we could still have 6v6 even with the shoddy slow movement.

                • 4v4 is the proper way to play PvP team based on the size of the map. You're not taking other things into account like much faster abilities and supers charge. I'm not defending destiny 2. As an avid PvP player growing up PvP was always 1v1, 2v2, 4v4, and 6v6 or 8v8. 3v3's few appearances were never taken seriously. I'll grant an argument from there but destiny aside a team PvP game should always be 4v4 for a medium to small size map. On a large map 4v4 feels a little empty but with destiny that should just change your weapon setup to something with more range.
