Prometheus Lens: How an Exotic Should Feel
Don’t nerf. Buff everything up to it. Looks great!
Edit: This is the first time in a while people are grinding hard as heck for an exotic. It shows how EXOTICS should feel. Strong and powerful. The steady stream of nerfs has turned D1, a fast paced game with single outplay potential, to D2, a team pea shooter. Stop advocating for nerfs instead of buffs. This is what’s killing the game.
Edit 2: “It’s bugged, dummy.” No duh. That’s why it’s fun to use. It reminds many of the quick time to kills in D1. Hopefully the PvE community doesn’t see this gun go down the drain because of us whiny PvP kids.

The sooner we all walk away from this shitshow, the better game we will all find...and yes they will nerf it and nerf more and more etc. etc. This is turning into D1 all over again, thanks to the crucibabies. Trust me, join us 7 million players who have walked away, it feels great.

Within the Era of Sameness, I expect Bungie to nerf it down so that it feels no different than any other weapon in the game.

I love how one side calls for the gun to be "Nerfed" while the other calls for other weapons to be Buffed to the same levels as said weapon without seeing that either way? The weapon will no longer be "[b]strong or powerful[/b]" anymore. Either way it winds up I the same boat only on one end or the other. if they [b]nerf[/b] it it get dumbed down to the same level as other weapons. Strength and power mean zilch. If they [b]buff[/b] other guns to compensate for said weapon then that weapon's Strength and Power become irrelevant. How does either outcome matter at that point?

Yes, it shipped with a bug called "fun". Unfortunately we can't have that, every exotic needs to be the same: bland and underwhelming. Hopefully they don't make it completely useless for the sake of pvp, because I was actually having fun in PvE for once.

Yeah I wish movement, abilities, and every weapon would be buffed to be on par with it. Sadly we can't have nice things. Apparently guardians are supposed to be yellow bar bullet sponges.

That way people will be grinding everything thing in the game nonstop for exotic engrams, thus showing high player participation for the launch week/month. Then slam it with nerfs on Dec 12th or in January. Edit: you all were saying? Now having Xur sell it reaffirms my theory. More people playing pvp because it’s the equivalent of a having a trials weekend with the vex mythoclast unhinged.... I’m selling tin foil hats to the “bungo-riders” on December 12th

If this gun gets nerfed no one in PvP would use it anyway so it would be the same as locking it out of PvP. Just take it out of PvP and let the PvE players have some type of fun in this game.

I keep hearing it's like the vex( maybe ttk?), but to me it's like the thorn; It's the burn that gets u. So what, we trying to go full circle?? The thorn was the start of the demise on nerfs, just leave stuff alone; cause that road will definately lead to more leaving( I.e. Not counting all already left, or punched their ticket for after preordered theft

I am so tired of weak and BS exotics to the point that people run around with legendaries and BLUES or even greens in the crucible ? Come on. Bring up the TTK in crucible across the board. Make some of the useless exotics do better. This slow time to kill is boring. I genuinely have never had more fun in D2 crucible than when I was using the lens. THAT IS WHAT AN EXOTIC SHOULD FEEL LIKE. People ganged up on me, t-bagged, got real upset. It was so fun. I was NOT invincible. [b]Look, The gun IS powerful Bungie already said it has a bug: where it continues to damage after you stop hitting a target needs a fix (the gun doesn't have a burn) and the damage numbers sometimes jump up for no reason - that needs to be fixed. [/b] But otherwise keep an exotic feeling exotic. You guys did the right thing buffing all grenades to meet the pulse grenades. Lets make this more fun. No nerfs. Buffs.

2 RepliesYou're right, and the Crucible is NOT the main attraction. Twice as many players consistently play PvE over the bloody PvP. It's just a gym, that's all, not the essence of Destiny. An exotic should be crazy good, and apprecitated for use in strikes and raids. Maybe exotics like this will mean some of us losers will succeed at these missions. People who play Destiny primarily for the Crucible have an egocentric complex. They want this communistic society of gamers all leveled even, except them, who should be inexplicably better than everyone else... coz, yeah, centre of the selfy universe.

Ohh stop it. If you cant see how this breaks pvp i dont know what to say to you. Hell for me make it 10x stronger for you pve guys and such but for pvp it needs a nerf. This is not COD. Enjoy it while it lasts.
