Prometheus Lens: How an Exotic Should Feel
Don’t nerf. Buff everything up to it. Looks great!
Edit: This is the first time in a while people are grinding hard as heck for an exotic. It shows how EXOTICS should feel. Strong and powerful. The steady stream of nerfs has turned D1, a fast paced game with single outplay potential, to D2, a team pea shooter. Stop advocating for nerfs instead of buffs. This is what’s killing the game.
Edit 2: “It’s bugged, dummy.” No duh. That’s why it’s fun to use. It reminds many of the quick time to kills in D1. Hopefully the PvE community doesn’t see this gun go down the drain because of us whiny PvP kids.

6 RepliesThe funny thing is: Peope defend it because they want it to stay good in PvE...sure. Guess what? The bug doesn‘t even affect PvE so the fix also won‘t affect PvE at all. We all know why you‘re defending it: To stomp other helpless players that would destroy you on an even playing field.

Well Xurs selling it and everythings a shitstorm. PvE won't be affected after the bugfix at all so I don't understand all the PvE bitching and the prometheus lens will still be barely above average in any PvE activity. It does show that ttk is too high but .5 ttk that the lens has in PvP is way too low. So if this is another tech demo it does show that ttk can be tuned to be lower but there's a limit to ttk before the game turns into CoD: Infinite Warfare.

How about this.... If you have the PL equipped the Coldheart does double damage to you. That would make these guys think twice about spraying those lasers all over the map. (If you can’t tel I haven’t gotten one yet and continue to be melted over and over)

There's a bug and it doesn't need a nerf. The bug is making the weapon so -blam!-ing broken, you mind as well leave if you see a 4 stack team all running PL.

I'll admit this is true. I'm dying to try it at least once while it's bugged. Once it's fixed, I'll probably lose interest again, unless it proves fun regardless of the bug. So far, haven't had it drop tho.

26 RepliesJesus Christ , the people who are pulling 1.2 overall efficiencies are obviously feeling themselves because they got this weapon lmaoo . Poor kids . At least when others use MIDA Multi + Mini , Uriel’s , and other sorcery you can out shoot it . I outshot the PL about 5-6 times and still died from afterburn 🤦🏾♂️. Gun is ridiculous asf and can’t wait to see the scrubs go back to their 0.8’s and below.

Bringing down the other guns to the same ttk as Prometheus Lens is just pure nonsense! D1's time to kill was nearly EXACTLY the same as in D2. Prometheus Lens is way too strong, it needs a nerf, it wasn't even supposed to kill so fast, all the other weapons are fine (except some fine tuning), we need 6v6 (gives different dynamics, more chances of 1v1) and Rumble back, let us choose the game mode, show us the connection quality and PvP will be fixed. It's really not that hard. Lots of games have done it. "That's why it's fun to use", he says...yeah no shit Sherlock...just think before you say stupid stuff like that. Look up the facts! Exotics can "feel" broken without actually being broken. This weapon is clearly broken. I don't care how much you like having your god-weapon in the sea of pea-shooters, it obviously doesn't belong. The only reason it's being farmed for is because kids want to rampage in the crucible and pretend they're any good at what they're doing. Reminds me a lot of Diablo 2 PvP days of Lagomancers running to Act 4 to raise their army, flagging hostile to everyone, then teleporting on your ass with Enigma spamming chat about how pro they are. Yeah, sure, it's there and you can do it, but no one is pretending it's fair or balanced.

D1 to D2 TTK was 20-30% different. This gun now kills in .5 to .7 seconds and can kill in .3 if its warmed up and was aimed close to target already. That is 50-80% different. You literally can run around a corner and stop before showing your entire body and by the time you turn back you are dead. That is not fun, nor is it skillful. You are having fun seal clubbing and feeling like a god because you have something others dont, and something that they cannot counter unless you are a window licker. I saw a guy yesterday with a .4 k/d over 400 games. He got a 3.8 with 25kills simply by yoloing into our team while we spawned and then would camp a hallway that was to long to thrown nades unless you exposed yourself and then you melted. I saw him 3 games he got 3.8/4.3/5.0 and he literally is garbage at the game. Then I saw a 4 man trials team get rolled by me and 3 randoms because our 1 guy had this and all we did was rush mid behind him like tards and we couldnt lose, if he just touched a player they were half health instantly and we just mopped up. 70 to 28

4 RepliesOmg this gun is so broken it's hilarious. I apologize to anyone who doesn't have it and finds me in crucible because you're bringing a knife to a laser gun fight. And yeah I'm gonna be that guy and use the hell out of this until it's fixed because honestly it's a welcomed reprieve from the usual teamshoot sweatfest. But undoubtedly, it's broken, and will be fixed. Until then I suggest everyone go find one and let's all have a good old fashioned western style cowboy shootout. With exploding lasers.

Whiny pvp kid lol. If you go into the game and your team gets crushed 50 to 10 only because of the OP weapon on the other side it's enough reasons to whine. Nerf/ buff doesn't matter. There needs to be balance. If you die within 2 seconds that's no fun. You actually need some gun play and not just running.

Can't even go into a crucible match without the enemy team not having at least two Prometheus Lens. One guy who was using it had 20 kills but had 1.06 efficiency. That shows how much of a scrub he was. Seriously tho, can't play decent matches without the enemy team shooting red lasers everywhere.

Least it makes PvP interesting. Should buff everything else.......or you could Nerf it and do nothing else to return PvP to a boring ass snooze fest.

2 RepliesI just encountered this gun in PvP a bit ago. After getting melted in less than a second three times, I calmly shut down the game and called it a night. PvE has been completely bent over a barrel in the name of PvP balance. If this the balance we're getting, I think I'm set on Destiny. Back to Warframe it is.

The weapon shipped with a bug, which we intend to fix with Destiny Update 1.1.1, along with everything else in the December update.
