I'm so confused by what you guys want, no wonder Bungie is too
"It's too casual friendly" proceeds to cheese the raid and whine it takes so much communication. Also whine about the nightfall timer.
"We get loot too fast!" Proceeds to cry when they don't get a full IB or raid set in one or two weeks and get some dupes.
"We want meaningful progression and something to grind for. Not RNG progression." Proceeds to whine about wanting random rolls which could take anywhere from 1 week to 5 months to get the same perk roll everyone desires that could have just been on the gun in the first place anyway...
"We want D1 back" proceeds to cry about reskins from D1 and it not being a sequel but more like a DLC just because it has the same enemy types and elemental types. (Lol what sequel doesn't have virtually the same enemy types?)
"We want the old weapon system back!" But you were crying for three years about special ammo and how those guns were too strong in PVP... and you cried when they nerfed special ammo. You cried for more primary gunfights. They designed the whole game around the new weapon system and all enemy health reflects it. Same with the toned down abilities you all whined about for three years as being too strong.
Point is we contradict ourselves and half of the community wants different things. You really think they will do a massive overhaul to the weapon system and enemy health and completely redesign the game when it is likely still pissing off almost half of the community that prefers the new weapon system? (That half being the ones that are already sticking around longer because they aren't as butthurt?)
Use logic guys. If we can't agree on these forums why are they gunna put massive time and effort into changing it when the change will just sway the argument a different way. They have spoken about the changes they are making which sound alright and they will have more to come. The ones you are asking for now are ridiculously unrealistic. But you feel free to go offer to work 50 hours a week for a bunch of childish fans if you want. If customers at most normal companies acted this way we would tell em to -blam!- off. I know even mine has when the customer became unreasonable and illogical.
"But who says these are the same groups of people Contradicting themselves?" Trust me I've taken note of the names I see whining a lot. I see contradictions in their posts like a week later.

But we tried it and the current D2 system just isn’t working. The Loot pool is just too shallow. If you’re going to have fixed rolls, you need a thousand guns with at least hundred being viable. My vault is full right now... With pretty much every decent weapon you can get in D2. And several non decent ones. Know how many have almost the exact same rolls? Or variations of? Most. Hell, one has “extended mag” AND “appended mag”!! And it’s boring. Also, the best rolls don’t feel powerful. And if you want to compete in PvP, you’re stuck with Mida, Uriel’s, and a rocket launcher. Snipers, fusions, and shotguns are useless. Pretty much negating the special slot altogether. Might as well not make em. And they took Heavy Machine guns. Cause there was Zero way to balance those with the currently nerfed system. Sooo... Yeah. Balanced to blandness. There’s no more “hero” moments. Peeps don’t feel powerful. And considering this is sold as a “power fantasy” game, doing that was a mistake. So while I sincerely get and appreciate what you’re saying, I’m even frustrated with the community dichotomy at times, it’s just not working. And the community, albeit not very eloquently at most times, is expressing that what’s going on now isn’t working and isn’t fun. Hope that helps clear your confusion. /:)

So I can't do everything in one day. If people starts acting like the Destiny baby squadron. I'll get cocky. I don't like it when customers speak to me that way, and I doubt my bosses would accept it either. Like I said in my earlier post I made. Nobody, and I repeat, NOBODY wants these kinds of customers, because they're more trouble than they are worth. You're better of cutting the chord at the start, than enduring the pain that's going to be inflicted upon your company. I mean, just look! The Bungie forum is a [b]prime example[/b] of this! In fact, I'll use this forum as an example to show my bosses, so they're fully aware of what happens if you let the baby squadron into your home. [spoiler][b][i][u]KUPO!!!™[/u][/i][/b][/spoiler]

can´t argue with the statement if there really are people that want change x and then cry about something opposing it. but to be fair. I saw a lot of comments about the shallow casual endgame that is absolutely no fun for gamers and hardcore-players.. do you want to invalidate their critisim? If Bungie / Activision would have been upfront about destiny 2 being a casual-only title than a lot of the critics on this forum would not even have bought into the francise in the first place.. but they changed the endgame progression fundamentally. They knew how gamers and hardcore-players would perceive these changes and they just kept them in there wrong expectations about the game because they wanted to sell as much copies as possible. They knew beforehand that it would upset a big part of the playerbase, and I am not even talking about Des1 fanboys / veterans but they kept their mouth shut and only talked about "more accessability" for casuals which is a good thing for everybody but it turned out to be an understatement and they made a game soley for casuals..

Exactly. Just like when the community says "Bring back some D1 weapons!" Then after bungie does just that, they turn around and say "Clearly Bungie has no ideas left because they are bringing back old weapons". Lol. If anything, at least Bungie is getting a idea of what its like to be Trump dealing with all the whiney libs who constantly contradict themselves and shift goal posts.

The forums don't know what they want and Bungie hasn't the slightest clue what kind of game it wants Destiny to be. You can't please EVERYBODY and Bungie needs to realize this. Also the community did not ask for every change that made it into D2. To think like that would be silly.

This is why I ignore the basis of most comments/posts that fall along the lines of "The majority wants X" or "The majority doesn't like Y." It's hard to believe there is a 'majority' or even a sense of unity when there is just so much incoherent rambling and indecisiveness. The herd-mentality is also very strong. Ultimately most comment feeds for threads turn into echo-chambers with the exception of the odd comment that gets people riled up, but it's all the same.

4 RepliesI agree. People bitched about random rolls and how it took forever to get a good roll, and when bungie just made everything static rolls they are getting flamed for it. Same with people getting sick of Shotguns and Snipers and wanting more primary fights. We have two primary's now, but now everyone wants the old system back. Make up your minds. To be honest the only thing I don't get is the reduced team size in crucible. Never heard anyone complain about too many players in a game.

Wow, a beacon of light in the forums of darkness. I agree with this post. Give Bungie and D2 a chance. At least incremental changes and improvements are being made on this game. Many other games such as Mass Effect Andromeda got shut down and their staff laid off because corporate suits didn’t see a profitable path forward.

Amen, I admit D2 has some flaws, and what doesnt nowadays? But honestly, it is all very confusing and just totally uncalled for hate, if they all quit playing, I won't be bothered, and to say the whole world won't play D2 is kind of funny to me. I mean come on...Really? They think they'll bankrupt Bungie and Activision? XD OK GUYS HAVE FUN WITH THAT! The UN couldn't do that at this point! IT WOULD AFFECT THE WORLD ECONOMY! Lolz...All Jokes aside, if we actually use our words constructively, and criticize intelligently, they'll probably read the damn posts, instead of a bunch of people doing their usual garbage.

People think it is easy for someone or a game dev to do so much in a quick time like put more guns in, oh up the level, oh give us more ways to use our emotes, oh more vault space. It is not easy by anymeans Unless you are a game dev and code tripple a titles in those video games then please dont say OH how hard is it really to put this stuff in i could do it easily exp if you have never tried to do coding and are good at it. i tried to go to school for web design at my local comunity college i could not do it it was to hard so i had to stop i could not comprehend it. And must we all forget this is not BUNGIES fault it is activision this time they put a major time constraint on bungie to push the game out fast so put the blame where it needs to go.

How hard would it be to be able use legendary shards to buy mods from Banshee? How hard would it have been to include weapon ornaments with Xur? How hard is it to make the raid keys accessible instead of doing some tedious underground maze? How hard is it to keep destiny as one game and D2 could have just been an upgrade but also a DLC to D1? OP is from the two tokens and a blue brigade, D2 fails miserably, but fortunately for me, I still enjoy it
