"It's too casual friendly" proceeds to cheese the raid and whine it takes so much communication. Also whine about the nightfall timer.
"We get loot too fast!" Proceeds to cry when they don't get a full IB or raid set in one or two weeks and get some dupes.
"We want meaningful progression and something to grind for. Not RNG progression." Proceeds to whine about wanting random rolls which could take anywhere from 1 week to 5 months to get the same perk roll everyone desires that could have just been on the gun in the first place anyway...
"We want D1 back" proceeds to cry about reskins from D1 and it not being a sequel but more like a DLC just because it has the same enemy types and elemental types. (Lol what sequel doesn't have virtually the same enemy types?)
"We want the old weapon system back!" But you were crying for three years about special ammo and how those guns were too strong in PVP... and you cried when they nerfed special ammo. You cried for more primary gunfights. They designed the whole game around the new weapon system and all enemy health reflects it. Same with the toned down abilities you all whined about for three years as being too strong.
Point is we contradict ourselves and half of the community wants different things. You really think they will do a massive overhaul to the weapon system and enemy health and completely redesign the game when it is likely still pissing off almost half of the community that prefers the new weapon system? (That half being the ones that are already sticking around longer because they aren't as butthurt?)
Use logic guys. If we can't agree on these forums why are they gunna put massive time and effort into changing it when the change will just sway the argument a different way. They have spoken about the changes they are making which sound alright and they will have more to come. The ones you are asking for now are ridiculously unrealistic. But you feel free to go offer to work 50 hours a week for a bunch of childish fans if you want. If customers at most normal companies acted this way we would tell em to -blam!- off. I know even mine has when the customer became unreasonable and illogical.
"But who says these are the same groups of people Contradicting themselves?" Trust me I've taken note of the names I see whining a lot. I see contradictions in their posts like a week later.

Its children and young adults. They dont know if they are coming or going. Oh yeah they are all experts on developing video games too. I like it when some loser youtuber calls them out for being lazy yet has probably never worked a day in their life.

I have one complaint. Please fix the titans punch. I don't play as one but I also haven't been killed a lot by titan punch. Back in D1 it's a titan and it's punch should do some damage and it did
-
most of these crybabies complained on D1 as well.. whiners will be whiners regardless what bungie does.. so what can you do.. mute them.
-
Edited by SquidGuy: 12/5/2017 5:24:17 PMYou don't see contradictions in my posts. D2 sucks compared to D1 in every way.
-
For me it is simple. D2 should have picked up at the same place with improvements that D1 ROI left us at. Instead they scrapped the whole thing and gave us 4v4 only..no strike loot..only 2 pvp playlists..i want you to look up the reaction at the D2 bungie reveal when they said pvp will only be 4v4 going forward lol..the horror.

Edited by Super68: 12/5/2017 5:32:43 PMA few others for your consideration: "All the weapons are boooring..." Proceeds to jump on the forums and whines that Last Hope, Nameless Midnight, and Antiope are too OP and are broken. "I can't believe I just got my 9th Fighting Lion..." Proceeds to complain that all exotics are too easy to obtain. "I can't believe they give teh casuals the best gear for free..." Proceeds to accept the weekly clan reward to get that missing item. Edit: And a couple more - "I despise fusion grenades - NERF THEM..." Proceeds to be shocked that the grenades in Destiny 2 are practically shadows of their former selves... "Git good scrubs, if you can't do the raid too bad..." Proceeds to get on the forums and complain that Trials is too hard and needs to be changed...

THIS is a great post! Well done!
-
Couldn’t have said it any better myself.
-
I agree entirely. It seems like people forgot about all the forum saltiness during D1 that drove Bungie to certain changes. Nothing is ever right for ALL Destiny fans.
-
Its very simple actually. Add as much as they can with these 2 minor dlc’s and fix as many problems as possible (leave this to the live team they have proven themselves with AOT) and then let Luke smiths team revamp all the old D1 locations add new content to those locations and overhaul the old raids. Dont ADD any new locations just revamp all the old locations. Its possible since the framework is already there and it appears D2 is running on the same (albeit revamped) engine. Oh also add completely random weapons like borderlands.

Amen, half these guys bitching about d2 are the same ones who bitched about D1. They got what they asked for and now they see it was a colossal mistake. They now think they are hip for hating on d2, even though they play everyday, and this is what their whining got us.

3 RepliesBungie it seems, no longer has the capability to make both PvP and PvE enjoyable for everybody. This either boils down to a lack of talent/commitment or the fact that they realize that players like the PvE more and are not will to put in the effort to make PvP anything at all.....I mean 4v4 is a joke!

6 RepliesEdited by MC 077 Lasombra: 12/5/2017 8:49:25 AMI’m amazed your trying to make it out like there was just one group of like minded people complaining. As opposed to pvp players having issues that differed from the PvE players issues. It boiled down to pve vs pvp and Bungie insisting the game be the same across the board. So in trying to appease both, but clearly leaning to he pvp side, they failed. So honestly saying the “community” contradicted itself is a silly thing to say. As it glaringly obvious people had different issues for different reasons. But hey it’s easy to blame the community instead of the devs. Also you’re taking down names and what they complain about? What the heck is that about?

In a general way, all we wanted was a continuation of D1, noone asked for this reboot.
-
so why are you crying?

17 RepliesAll of this is exactly the truth, but don't tell the whiners here on this toxic forum this because they'll ridicule you, challenge you, call you wrong and call you a destiny butt licker or whatever is their hip terminology. Every. Single. Aspect. that D2 is in an evolution further away from D1 Vanilla. People hated what D1 Vanilla was. Other than the VoG itself. They hated the activities, they hated the RNG, they hated the load times on matchmaking, they hated the ability spam, they hated the panic supers, they hated how some guns were significantly better than others because they couldn't get them themselves, they hated the exotic quests because void weapon kills in crucible was too hard, they hated they couldn't be max level, they hated they couldn't do the raid because they didn't have GHorn, they hated there wasn't enough loot, they hated farming materials, they hated they had to actually level up their guns, they hated getting ascendant materials in NFs, they hated bullet sponge Valus, they hated that people had to kill every single trash mob during a strike, etc etc etc... All of those were changed, some changed during TTK which people loved, and now they hate all those changes meanwhile we're starting to see this false narrative about how D1 Vanilla was great! Fact of the matter is the community doesn't want to take responsibility for what this game has been turned into because Bungie has listened to the vocal people throughout Destiny's timeline.
-
1 ReplyIt looks as if you doing the same, just different perspective
-
Thank you for doing this. It doesn’t even matter if it’s the same person contradicting themselves, if the community is so split how can Bungie make anyone happy without hate filled forums?
-
1 ReplyWell, that's not really representative of the community as a whole. Different parts of the community asking for different things. Common sense really. Those questions are more suited for someone caught contradicting their wants, not the entire playerbase.
-
We should of all just played WARFRAME. Problems solved.

2 RepliesThe people who complained in D1 was mostly (see I said mostly so go away sweaty nerds) the PvP crowd. They couldn’t keep it in their pants for 3 going on 4 years and they ruined a lot of good things in D1 (weapons in PvE/PvP and PvP in general). They said they wanted more primary fights, then proceed to camp for special, for like what 20 seconds, when they changed special ammo. Now in D2 they, imo, ruined the entire weapon system, and turned PvP into a slug, which also, sometimes, feels a little awkward in PvE with recharge times and the such.
tl;dr -blam!- the PvP crowd
Black and White aren't the only colors of a Rainbow. The most important words are written between the lines. In short: It's not a damn light switch. It's not a Yes or No question. This isn't as simple as picking the left or right hand. It's a slider on a bar. The mixer on a soundboard. The Volume knob on your stereo. It's all about figuring out how to balance Random Roll weapons with constant variables. It's about finding an acceptable pace to give players loot without just throwing trash at them every 45 seconds. It's about making sure that the important parts of Destiny come back without being straight cash grabs. It's about making sure that RNG weights the rolls just enough to keep you opening the next engram without destroying your hopes of getting something you want or need. The only Contradiction is you telling people to use logic while, at the same time, treating the issues of a multi-level problem like you can only have one answer or the other. S'not how entertainment works. you've got to give the people enough to satisfy them, but hold back just the right amount so that they come back for more later.

Edited by ccSPiTFiRΞ: 12/5/2017 12:38:28 PMQuick fix: Open D2 folder > cut D2 folder > paste D2 folder to D1 folder > rename the D2 title to "Expansion No. 5" Everyone's happy, the forums go back to balancing / nerf cries, player base numbers blasts through the roof & Bungie decides to double the price on Destiny: The Collection 2.0

You cannot please everyone but pissing everyone off is a piece of cake....

6 RepliesEdited by Spyder_Z_Prime: 12/5/2017 12:55:41 PMYou’re not wrong... But you’re also not quite right. It IS a mix of everything you said. But we tried it and the current D2 system just isn’t working. The Loot pool is just too shallow. If you’re going to have fixed rolls, you need a thousand guns with at least hundred being viable. My vault is full right now... With pretty much every decent weapon you can get in D2. And several non decent ones. Know how many have almost the exact same rolls? Or variations of? Most. Hell, one has “extended mag” AND “appended mag”!! And it’s boring. Also, the best rolls don’t feel powerful. And if you want to compete in PvP, you’re stuck with Mida, Uriel’s, and a rocket launcher. Snipers, fusions, and shotguns are useless. Pretty much negating the special slot altogether. Might as well not make em. And they took Heavy Machine guns. Cause there was Zero way to balance those with the currently nerfed system. Sooo... Yeah. Balanced to blandness. There’s no more “hero” moments. Peeps don’t feel powerful. And considering this is sold as a “power fantasy” game, doing that was a mistake. So while I sincerely get and appreciate what you’re saying, I’m even frustrated with the community dichotomy at times, it’s just not working. And the community, albeit not very eloquently at most times, is expressing that what’s going on now isn’t working and isn’t fun. Hope that helps clear your confusion. /:)
