Well, I just noticed that I have a D2 logon "cooldown timer" as well. Apparently, when they fix this trainwreck of a game my ability to logon will return. Weird.

3 RepliesHow is this legal? I've never bought silver, but you can, and i am sure there are people that have spent actual money on silver. I'm sure some of those people have then used the money they've spent on silver to purchase XP buffs. If those XP buffs aren't working the way they should be working because of a hidden cooldown, that needs to be advertised when making the purchase.

Bump.

1 ReplyOh come on, OP: Friends are the real loot here. As long as you have friends, what more do you need. Amiright!? /sarcasm This game has become such a sad joke...

3 RepliesEXP cooldown Glimmer cooldown Patrol chest cooldown This is getting ridiculous.
-
1 ReplyAnother backwards system. We have xp boosts but xp earning is on a cool down. We have treasure chest maps for each location but we have chest cool downs. We have a challenge to collect 10 planetary materials, but they also have a cool down. Where there any sane people in the office when these decisions were made or was the development so fractured that we now have systems that actively work against each other

I get why BungieVision wanted to appeal to a more casual audience. But it is rather puzzling as to why they are actively preventing people from grinding/farming.
-
bump!!
-
Bump this BIG TIME ^^^^^^
-
It was also evident in Crucible.
-
Why make content when you can just make people repeat the same thing on a loop for longer with one tiny adjustment.
-
That’s some garbage. Bump to keep it relevant.

It is frustrating how they make it impossible to actually grind. Like if you have a second character of the same class your luminous engrams will be lower than your current light. If you're at 304 power level and you get an exotic engram it will not be at max light. On my first character on pc I did the mida quest at 300 light and got a 305 multi tool. On my second character I completed the quest at 301 light and was only able to get a 304 multi tool. Same with the zavala engram you get for beating the game. It's always 10-15 over your current light unless you're 10-15 away from max light it won't actually be at max light. You need to be at least 300 to get it at max light and it scales for multiple characters like the exotic gun quest guns do. For trials engrams for 3,5 and 7 wins, I was at 300-301 light and they were only dropping at 304 just to keep you away from getting that max light gear. Also I'm pretty sure there's a system in place that gives you duplicates or gives you gear you already have at high light from luminous engrams. When you go from console to pc and have a good understanding of the grind it becomes so much more clearer how much they hinder progress.

2 RepliesShrugs. It’s just cool looking stuff. Not game breaking. There are many other issues besides getting the next Bright engram. Sorry down vote

7 RepliesDon't worry Cozmo, I got this. I'll pass this along to the devs.

4 RepliesIt's OK, there's no cooldown on how many friendships you can make in the game. All good now?, thought so.

Edited by Septimus132: 11/7/2017 12:43:44 AMInteresting, it look like it was either an XP cool downs or they raise the amount of XP needed for a Bright Engram. It will definitely increase the grind for stuff, but not carry the same feeling as chasing an elusive weapon.

5 RepliesEdited by Penhalion Wolfe: 11/5/2017 2:06:51 PMThe truly frightening thing is that Bungie are constantly looking for ways to introduce more lengthy grinds while saying they are fixing issues. Each and every patch so far had snuck a nerf to progress into the game. These have NEVER been put into the patch notes! So these are neither errors, bugs or mistakes! I'm sorry but even if you are a rabid fan. You have to start opening your eyes and mouths and asking why they are deliberately introducing ANTI quality of life changes secretly. It's like some screwed up social experiment to find out what they can get away with before the game dies. As if someone said we're screwed so why not use the remaining player base to test a few manipulation theories to make our whales spend more money.
https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/7adxjf/lets_talk_about_the_xp_cooldown/
Oh god this is sickening. Bungie are dirty as hell

13 RepliesAt the end of the day, everyone bitching is still going to play.
-
1 ReplyI think there's still a glimmer cool down as well.
-
At first, I was upset by this news. Then, I remembered what Destiny 2 is like. It's not fair if people who can play for several hours at a time get more rewards than people who can only put in an hour at a time. Those players putting in a max of an hour at a time need to not be put at a disadvantage! Hence why everything in the game is on a cooldown.

1 ReplyThis looks like Bungie is trying to stop double dipping or triple dipping. Basically DICKtating how the game is played, SHAME,SHAME You are not going to get Bungie's response here. If you want there attention you have to hurt or attempt to hurt there wallet (there advertising) Twitch is a game developers free advertising. Getting streamers to call out shady business practices and to non stop talk about xp cooldowns reflects badly on the game, then and only then will they will be forced to officially respond on there over reaction.
