this guy probably did this in 10 minutes and its 100 times better than what was given to us. what you all think.

4 RepliesI think how they did it was fine, however that being said I feel like the assault on the tower should have been a destiny 1 mission. It should have been the very last update to the game. That way when we load up destiny 2 it starts us at the foot of tower with no weapons or Powers.

6 RepliesEdited by EchoAquarius: 11/6/2017 2:54:50 PMI like the Gjallarhorn idea, but technically there could be no more than (AT MOST) five or six Gjallarhorns in existence in destiny canon, as the weapon was forged from the armor of the deceased guardians from the battle of Twilight Gap. Yes they could make imitations, but there would be very few true Gjallarhorn launchers. Theres a reason cayde says "like Gjallarhorn special?" in the story.

5 RepliesSo heres the problem..... Everyone its seeing this as a new Destiny. A new adventure. And when something is new it comes with new worlds, new weapons, new enemies and things we haven’t experienced before. But heres the thing. This isn’t a new game. This is in fact what destiny 1 was meant to be. When they originally had a plan for destiny the game was huge, so huge that they decided to split it into 2 games to capitalise of the revenue stream. Destiny is a good game but its still a business and thats the issue. This is why there is a lot of reskined content in D2 and we are fighting old enemies. This game would have originally been a large DLC. Because of this we are experiencing things like before but to make it seem like something new by adding in tokens, removing the way rolls work, adding in new characters etc. And this is why the new DLC drop in December will see us visiting old territories like Venus, Mars and VoG because it was all part of the original instalment. People need to stop seeing it as a new game when its now. Bungie should really be honest with its customer base and admit it instead of trying to hide behind things. I love the game and i too am bored in comparison with how much love i had for D1. Where they really messed up is removing the need to grind, remember trying to get the gally first time round??? The RNG was a killer yet if you were lucky to get it wow how did that feel but there is now RNG to this game. God rolls no longer exist, removing that then stopped the need to grind and thats what kept people playing. We shouldn’t be getting Iron Banner, Srl etc with a new game because it should bring new content and thats why this isnt a new game just a carry on of what already existed. But nothing will really change unless Bungie open up the fans and explain things. So either carry on playing or find something else if you are not happy. YYJ

2 RepliesI disagree. Let's start with mysterious forces that could manipulate satellites. Space magic and physics. Bad St/nature has played hell with modern soldiers for years. Then let's travel to technology. Based on NASA, it takes that long. But last time I checked NASA also didn't have the technological capability to destroy the sun. The cabal do. Hence quicker travel times. And then, evacuate the city? It wouldn't happen. Not immediately. Because the surrounding areas are filled with enemies. Hence the walls, etc. Then add to it guardians don't have any large-scale naval combat ships I'm aware of. They have small scale ships and ground combat. They'd stick with that. As for the ending, city/tower cleanup should be a thing in the upcoming dlc. Because just like that the entire city is magically cleansed of cabal and whatever else may have gotten in.

The issue I have with it is that it makes it out to be as if a lot of guardians have ghallarhorns. It's technically canon that only our guardian has one, at most a full raid team would all have one according to what's canon. I like that it has more build to the arrival of the cabal, but if we were so prepared it would have made the already short period of having no light make no sense. Another problem I have is that Zavala cared more for the Traveler than in-game, I believe, based on the dialogue, that Zavala could care less about the Traveler when civilians are in danger, it's Ikora who would focus on that. Also to say that the hunters would sit still long enough to actually snipe... sure.
-
I think he could have said a little more about warlocks and hunters.I mean he makes it sound like warlocks are absolutly useless and all they do is sit and meditate and wait for death to arrive

2 Repliesthat ending, 10/10 writing

What if we got ghally on our wrists

21 RepliesEdited by STARWoLF00: 11/4/2017 11:27:18 PMWhy do people always assume that the cabal just waltzed right in. They’ve been studying guardians and the city for some time. We can also assume they are aware of the previous failed attacks on the city. Whose to say they don’t “blind” our sensors? Or use ewar on them. The vanguard wasn’t using the cloaked warsats of Rasputin for crying out loud.

11 RepliesDude cannot even spell Zavala properly. Stopped reading.

If only D2 was just a bad dream...Reddit forum is 110x better and saltier than this forum. Although, I still enjoy this forum as well.

The writing was horrendous, but it was funny.

Lmao the end “Crucible is still 6v6”

Edited by Kuraishi Sol: 11/5/2017 1:02:07 AMTldr: crappy fan made story

Bump read this guys it'll give you a good feeling

Love It.
You know what is also horrendous? Look at the first line of the new dlc trailer. Ikora saying basically “guardian, we are under imminent threat of death. Again. But you’re the only one I’m telling this to. Keep It to yourself” What kind of f ucked up story telling is that?
2 RepliesIt bugs me how poorly written and thought out the actual in-game story is when compared to the stuff we got in the Grimoire. They could have made the Tower attack/escape something really memorable (an actual chapter), but it was just a one and done mission, yet it still stands out as one of the better ones.
-
I know some people really immerse in stories. Me I am one of those day oners that begged for a skip option. Especially for my other 2 characters. Shrugs. There are so many issues as of now for them to even worry about the story. This is of course only my opinion. And I don’t mean to offend any lore fans.

13 RepliesTwo story missions & ten minutes of cutscenes is better than a full game?

Vaults are intact. D2 never happened. Crucible is still 6v6
3 Replies"Bring Gallahorns! ...I know some of you have 6 (of them)!!!" 😂😂😂
-
Stop making sense. D2 doesn't want that!

1 ReplyPretty good. I always thought it was stupid that they had a fleet of cabal just fly in like it was nothing and destroy the tower. Meanwhile for three years we have been fighting alien species capable of intergalactic travel that can't just fly in and destroy shit. Capable of intergalactic travel but can't figure out how to overrun a city.....

Thought this an interesting video. What a major MMO PC player had to say about Destiny 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZxNoUxO5b0
