I know I am going to be hit by salt, because its as common here as rain is in Seattle. BUT.
Thank you Bungie for this latest weekly update. Thank you for the stream reveal.
There have been issues with D2, and now I know you are working on them, instead of just allowing us to sit wondering if this is all we get.
To all my fellow players out there, whether you are salty or no, encouraging Bungie to communicate more with us is extremely important, and we should give them positive feedback about it.
Cause feeding Bungie only salt really doesn't do that much good. Except maybe to vent.
Peace!
Edit - Just to make it clear, there is a difference between salt and constructive criticism.

15 RepliesEdited by TheShadow-cali: 10/28/2017 1:52:29 AMNo salt from me towards you, I just know Bungie could of been doing this over 2 years ago. Sad thing about it... It has to take this community to get pissed off before they do make any attempts. Nothing personal, but the higher ups need to get their act together, because it shouldn't take the community to get pissed off before they acknowledge them.

Don't understand why people are whining if u whine Bungie won't listen... u will just be that one person on the forums shaking salt all over the place... but with constructive criticism Bungie will listen more... plz fix these forums

Destiny 2 is garbage. I mean, it honestly feels more like what should've been a free to play, free download knockoff of Destiny 1, made by some independent developer and maintained entirely on a simple microtransaction system.

1 ReplyGame isn't fun anymore which is why I don't really play it anymore. My friend list has went down from about 8 pages...to maybe a page and a half. Time to move on. Battlefront 2 comes out in two weeks. That's where I'm going. I'll be back for DLC because I already paid for it. Unless the endgame changes drastically (especially the Raid drops..just atrocious) I'm going to find something else to play. Looked forward to this game all summer only to realize it's a shell of it itself now. If you have fun playing it good for you..I dont...its beyond boring.

1 ReplyThey had three years worth of feedback to make D2 worth something, all they did was make the same mistakes in a different order and style. Sorry man, but i have to respectfully disagree. Bungie deserves whatever shit is getting thrown at them
-
1 ReplyThere's a big difference between communicating and advertising. Sucker
-
1 ReplyBungie: Makes vague claims as to how they will fix the game (if you buy the DLC) . Fanboys: Thank you so much bungie! I can’t believe you actually listened!

I get what you mean. As far as the development team, who are emotional artists, could use some inspiration maybe. But here is why the salt is important too. There is a board room somewhere, probably at both Bungie and activision. On that board there are investors who have gaming industry experience and probably more that don’t. They don’t care about Bungie or activision. They don’t care to learn what gamers want. They care that their investment pays what they were told. When they see a salty forum they don’t see immaturity or stupid comments. They see pissed off customers they see lost revenue and reputation. They see something the company better fix QUICK! Trust me salt hurts the pocket book and these men and women are very smart. Same with micro transactions. What do they cost in future sales and customer sentiment? They care about the bottom line, today and for destiny 3. This has cost them millions in future revenue probably. How they regain it will ultimately decide if they are successful. Many large companies fail every year, most often from disenfranchised customers. A statistic they are surely familiar with.

Errr isn't that what they are supposed to do in this day and age? Look at the division for example. The devs and community managers constantly keep you updated with whats going on in their state of the game streams.
-
Bungie's problem is they're thinking about 'then' and not 'now.' This whole incident with the Bureaucratic Walk emote is a perfect example. When the glitch was discovered, what they should have done was taken the game offline for maintenance. But because they had the PC launch coming up, what they actually did was remove Trials from the game for a bit so PV could launch. Anyone else would have taken immediate action.
-
1 ReplyWhat part of that was communication. They just blew off the issue. Didn't even mention people who got banned for no reason
-
Yeah...thanks for being brave enough to report on the game I doubt anyone at a Bungie is still playing after a month.
-
Edited by Atomic: 10/29/2017 11:55:58 PMI personally doubt they'll put the shit they took at back in until at least 6 months they're too lazy to do shit

I’m just doing what most other players are doing. Taking a break. I don’t hate the game. Game is fun, it’s awesome, but there’s not much to do right now. I think once Bungie gets their act together (which it looks like they’re doing and release more content), I’ll probably come back on.
-
Are they doing anything about in game chat
-
3 RepliesWow a positive topic that didn't get down voted and addressing the salt issue to boot yes to this.

16 RepliesThis is a joke right? Or do you "totally not work for them guys!" or something? If you buy a car from me at full price and later find out its missing brakes and an exhaust, I guess ill just "communicate" with you about how I'm working on it. It still won't change the fact that the car is un-drivable but at least you know that I know its a problem and I'm "working on it." Fcuk outta here

8 RepliesI’ll take a wait and see approach. My god the rush to throw praise at Bungie without them doing anything other than putting together a simple list. All the sycophant streamers are also predictably promoting and effusively praising Bungie as well for doing nothing yet. Gotta keep that paper flowing in. Show me the fixes first before I remotely provide praise for anything. bungie burned that bridge long ago. They now need to earn it with solid and well designed action.

6 RepliesNot to seem “salty”... but wasn’t it the outrage from things like this forum, YouTube, independent game reviews, and other sources that spurred on the response? “Constructive criticism” seemed to go unanswered, which led to outrage, which led to salt/ridicule, which led to a response. This will definitely sound “salty” but whatever... Should people have to treat them like a child and “positively reinforce” finally receiving a response? You basically have the same percentage of eliciting a response from Bungie on the Bungie forums, as you do posting the same question on a random Narcolepsy Support forum. This will sound like pure salt but I don’t care... Not to only talk about pvp, but that’s my primary concern, I won’t lie. With all the posts/questions/concerns with the current state of pvp, people are doing backflips over a scoring adjustment to a few modes, fixing some broken spawn points, and more loot upon completing that lag nightmare you just spent 9min 28seconds completing??? Lol... I’ll stop and also apologize for the salt, but it’s been years in the making.

Edited by Lyrro: 10/29/2017 3:50:50 PMI'm not trying to be salty when I say this, I am glad that Bungie has finally done some form of communicating outside of Cozmo's generally shallow responses, I'm simply pointing it out because someone has to. Communication is something that should've happened a long time ago, not something to to be put on the back burner until pc launch. The lack of communication on Bungie's part is atrocious and the fact that they've waited this long to say anything should say something. Don't drop your pitch forks and jump back to Bungie's defense just because they've finally acknowledged you. Look at it from a critical point of view, don't just say "oh, he's just being salty." The game has been out this long already and yet Bungie has completely neglected it's forums and just flat out ignores any thread that isn't heralding their praise. You can count Cozmo's replies if you want to, but to be honest, he never sounds like he's giving an actual response but instead seems to have a page of pre written responses to reference. When they finally do decide to communicate with us, to knowledge some of the glaring issues this game has had since launch, it conveniently coincides with the pc launch of the game and discusses what changes the dlc, which players will have to pay for, will bring. I'm not hating on Bungie right now, though it may sound like it. As I said, I'm glad they've finally communicated with us in some form. I'm simply stating that you shouldn't jump back on the Bungie bandwagon just because they've finally acknowledged your existence. Be glad, show Bungie you appreciate their acknowledgement, but also be cautiously optimistic. If someone in the real world were to sell you a half finished product and chose to ignore you every time you tried to talk to them about said product, would you suddenly jump to their side if they finally (after a couple months of ignoring you) said "ok, here's my plan for the future of this product..."
-
Wait.... What's going on here?
-
This will explain my issues with D2
-
3 RepliesIn regards to sweeping changes, they were never going to happen before PC launch. Anyone who thought otherwise wasn't grasping the whole situation. I am glad that they are communicating about these efforts as PC version finally releases. As they get data from PC, there will be more support for what console players have been hooting about for a month, and changes will come. Patience is necessary in this situation. Have a little faith salty ones.
-
Don’t thank them just yet. They finally acknowledged many of the issues and have said they’re working on solutions, but as of now, they’re just words. No specifics or actions. A step in the right direction, but let’s not congratulate them for making a step.
-
1 ReplySo praise them for doing their jobs Praise them when they do good So what your saying then is we need to treat bungie like babies. Oh bungie you clever boy you, you actually listened this time. Wow bungie good boy you ripped that apart but now put it back together. Babies ok got ya 👍
-
Man. I love what you said
