There's isn't a huge amount of time... and soloing them isn't realistic unless you are max light or close to it.
The recommended light is 240. No one is doing these things at 240.

Sales are down drastically because word of mouth is that it's garbage. (Personally, I went from telling people they had to get it to telling people not to get it.) Regardless of what you snivel; most people are very unhappy. Show me someone at 240 light that's not a streamer beat a nightfall solo. It's not happening. I'm sure you sir with your smug face and reflect how right you are about everything in your Bernie Sanders T-Shirt while contemplating micro brews... but reality is what it is.

What do game sales and player population have to do with the nightfall timer? Bernie Sanders? Lol, what? I'm not even American. You really went off on a tangent there. Show a little dignity and just admit you're wrong. Seeing as how you're so reluctant, I'll answer for you. The only playstyle that isn't viable is the Destiny 1 nightfall strategy of slowly working your way through, camping at the entrance to each encounter and safely picking of every enemy. This was a crutch for weak players and a quick glance at your recent activity tells me why you want it back. You're struggling. You only managed a 3kd on your most recent. A 3. How is that possible? You died once for every 3 adds you killed. That is beyond terrible. It isn't the timer holding you back. It's you.
