156 RepliesI'll send this thread to the sandbox team who are in charge of abilities. Thanks for posting!

This might sound crazy... but what if instead of instant damage, the tethers do Damage over Time! You are slowed, walking out of range = death... but if you have the awareness to shoot the anchor, you could live. Or... Shadowshot tethers can affect Allies, but provide them with an overshield, and enemies are slowed.

3 RepliesI care not for it's ability to kill. I care more for it's ability to suppress. The delay when a roaming super such as a hammer throwing titan comes into contact with said tether is ridiculous. Being able to still throw even 1 more hammer whilst clearly tethered is absolute BS. Not an isolated latency issue either as it happens frequently and consistently in PVP.
-
5 RepliesI only agree if Shoulder charge can be a one hit kill.
-
25 RepliesThe same people who think tether not being a OHK on a direct impact and golden gun taking 2 shots to kill another super/destroy a titan shield are the same people who believe sticky grenades (well, even grenades in general) shouldn't kill Chew on that for a while.
-
7 RepliesIt's a support ability not a dps one. It's not meant to be used the way you're propsing it should be just because it's mildly inconveniencing that in pvp it just almost kills a guardian. If used correctly you can do much more out of it. The rest of the supers in the game are purely dps supers but this one is not. For example if you tether the enemy team before a team fight, 9.9 times out of 10 your team will win that team fight even if the enemy team uses one of their supers because they have no mobility. Shadowshot is balanced, you just have to use it differently from all the others is all.

I hit someone with tether and I was about 20m away and they still killed me with pole dancer a few seconds later. I should have not lost my super. It's pretty stooopid that you basically have to hide it like a trap and hope someone falls into it.
-
It's good the way it is. That class already does so much.
-
4 RepliesShould have a third option that says "doesn't matter it's a support class"
-
It's not? I guess I should run with more than 2 resiliency.

BUFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

4 RepliesIt’s an arrow, not a bomb.

Got one shot by one earlier today. Admittedly it was point blank, and it was probably lagging, and the game likely thought screw it, you die.
-
To be honest I don't think it should one shot, otherwise it's just gonna be a golden gun with a better passive game. It could use a small buff to activation time of the tether.
-
One hit kills on tether impacts except for the skill tree that allows five tethers. That would be so broken.
-
That's not going to drastically improve it. That's only 1 guaranteed kill with it (assuming you hit)

3 RepliesExotics should not define how good a super is, I have mained a hunter since the beggining of destiny 1, I admit hunters had a few perks that were a bit stupid imo (wombo combo) but hunters got shafted this go around Arcstrider Pro's -Good add clearing -Great grenades Con's -Slow as molasses while in super -no gap closer for pvp scenarios Solution -15% buff to attack speed -replace triple jump with blink Gunslinger is arguably the most balanced class in the game Nighstalker Only thing that needs to be done with this is make tether a 1 hit ko in pvp and maybe decrease time it takes to tether. Dodge Rework to be more team oriented This is all the hunter needs. Something seriously needs to be done about arcstrider

3 RepliesJust kinda crazy that a Titan grenade can pretty much sum up the most useful part of SS. Lol Ss is my favorite class, through and through, especially with orph rigs but I have to switch for pvp if I want to be competitive. One shot and no tether on the quiver tree would be perfect. Maybe allow only 4 arrows.
-
i am ok with tether one shotting if you remove invis entirely, and rework smoke. crowd control simply doesnt fit in a fps. it didnt fit in d1 and it doesnt fit now. nothing else slows or stuns. this isnt a moba. at higher skill levels, the jump alone is a very significant advantage to how slow every other jump is, and how hard it is to fire from them. the last thing i will ever do in d2 is ask for something i use once a game to be improved. nightstalker passive game, which is all that matters in this game, is still the best.

10 RepliesLOL hunters need anything but a buff. They move faster than bungies crappy netcode can keep up with making them almost impossible to kill. Theres a reason why most flawless trials players use hunters. I see a definite nerf inbound for hunters. Have your fun while it lasts.

Let’s make shadowshot great again.
-
7 RepliesWrong it isn’t: Goldengun (from personal experience) has only oneshot other Goldengun users and non super guardians. Arc strider (again, personal experience), slammed a striker and they almost lost shield (like 10% shield left) And I’m pretty sure stormcaller technically isn’t instant, I’m pretty sure it’s like 2 hits technically but very fast.

I used it in someone and was very salty when I got killed after I thought he was dead and turned my back, but was very happy when someone missed me with all 24 shots of his ;)

At the very least, increase damage resistance while shooting. You cannot use shadowshot when you have LoS on an enemy, you just die. There shouldn't be a delay in the tether landing. The only time I've ever successfully suppressed a super is when I actually shot a split second before it was popped... and even then they usually have time to kill me before suppression kicks in. It's pretty BS that even when predicting the super, shooting preemptively and landing it, it's still not fast enough to survive due to the lack of speed and resistance when using the super. Nowadays idec about wasting a shadowshot just randomly shooting a wall behind me to stop a flank, no intention to kill, just to keep people off my ass. What's super about that? FA. There's zero opportunity to make plays with it without getting completely melted beforehand and I don't want my super use to just be a suicide mission. Tl;dr - I agree with the above post and would welcome near any positive change to the super, it for sure needs SOMETHING.
-
1 ReplyInstead of buffing the super itself, Bungie should remove the indicator in the bottom left saying you used shadowshot. This would help with predicting which way the enemy is headed as they wouldn't be as cautious.

3 RepliesEdited by Moppytheshotgun: 10/13/2017 4:17:41 AMIts probably because in D1 everyone was obsessed with the idea that void hunters were a good meta support class, when in fact it was too good. Now that it's actually a support class its not good enough? Just remember guardians be careful what you wish for Edit. Oh yeah let's give hunters max mobility... then mida... then a perk that gives them movement speed for each super kill... And then we we give them a 1hko super?? With multiple shots?!?!?... I mean really can't you just be happy ever?
