Remember your First exotic and legendary from D1?
My first legendary was the Shadow Price, with some pretty bad perks. And my first exotic was Hawkmoon from the week 2 Nightfall!
Now in destiny 2 I have all exotics and only use 4 legendaries in total, and I have no memory on how I got any of them.
EDIT: After seeing all these posts it makes me miss all the variety in weapons in D1 that made them memorable, from the name of the gun all the way to how the gun looked and performed. I do hope that down the line D2 will gain this ability for its future weapons.

My first legendary was Judgement VI that I got from New Monarchy (best shotgun for the first two years hands down) And I remember the blood sweat and tears to complete the nightfall the very moment I was at the minimum Light possible to attempt it. My reward was the glorious ice breaker and I showed it off proudly.

My first legendary was a Longbow Synth with Surplus and Firefly, but I never liked sniper rifles when I was starting out the game so I dismantled it thinking "snipers suck yo lololololololol shotguns op" My first exotic was the Young Ahamkara's Spine, which I thought was the absolute most sexy piece of armor in the game until I found the VoG gear

Gjallarhorn was my first dropped exotic, it was in the 1st week too, over 90,000 kills with that beast oh the memories.

Ahh good old dunemarchers. And then, 2-3 more dunemarchers. I think I played for a month before I found a non-dunemarchers exotic.

First legendary was a Y1 grim citizen, still in my vault on D1 I consider my first exotic to be Pocket Infinity but I technically got the Plan-C first. I had finished my quest for the Pocket Infinity and just needed to turn it in, but I decided to complete the nightfall I did it in and pulled a Plan-C from rewards... So I had earned Pocket infinity but got a Plan-C before I picked my PI up.

First legendary, no idea. First exotic was the Hawkmoon i believe. From a strike playlist end of activity reward. As i didn't like HC, put it in the bank (cause i'm a hoarder and didn't dismantle any exotics for the most part).

1 ReplyCan’t remember the legendary but my first exotic was Thorn the second week launch of D1. And what a pain was it to get void kills as a Hunter back then. And that forever spawned my love for Exotic Hand Cannons. Loving Sturm and Sunshot. Go figure that I wasted no time picking up Sunshot from the campaign.

Monte Carlo for me too. Second was Red Death. Got it as a drop when I was getting a carry through HM Crota. Spent most of the raid dead (nothing's changed in the following 3 years) and it dropped when Crota was killed. The friends I was playing with were not happy as it gave health regen at a time when the only other way was making orbs from the yellow bars Knights. The hate was real on that evening 😁

honestly dont remember first legendary, but i do remember suros regime was tbe first one i got. i used that thing from way early on in the levels, engram dropped so quickly during campaign. first d2 exotic was by choice from progressing in story, kind of disappointing

Exotic - Hardlight Legendary - Cryptic Dragon As for Destiny 2 I guess technically Eye of Another World warlock helm for exotic since I chose that and no idea for legendary. Lol
