Remember your First exotic and legendary from D1?
My first legendary was the Shadow Price, with some pretty bad perks. And my first exotic was Hawkmoon from the week 2 Nightfall!
Now in destiny 2 I have all exotics and only use 4 legendaries in total, and I have no memory on how I got any of them.
EDIT: After seeing all these posts it makes me miss all the variety in weapons in D1 that made them memorable, from the name of the gun all the way to how the gun looked and performed. I do hope that down the line D2 will gain this ability for its future weapons.

I think „Another NiCt“ (or sonething like that) was my first legendary and my first exotic was hawkmoon dropping after a pvp match

D2: Not sure about my legendaries. First Exotic I received: The Titan chest plate that reloads autorifles. First RNG Exotic: I think it was the Dubious Voll... ah, Ward-whatever Coil First Exotic I purchased: Merciless

First legendary was strangers rifle and first exotic was believe it or not vex mythoclast, got it on my first run through hard mode VoG where I got carried as a level 28

Not sure but most possibly my first exotic in D1 was the Pocket Infinity from random quest or may be Invective. And my first legendary weapon was Strange Suspect pulse rifle (still sits in my vault) OAS - Secret Round - HCR/Light Weight/Perfect balance - Hip fire. I like how it looks. ps I was so excited playing vanilla Destiny before any DLC!!! Miracle time.

Getting exotics in d1 felt so rewarding compared to d2 hopefully they bring that feel back in the future but im not sure how they'll do that [spoiler]currently have every exotic weapon except acrius since i havent done the raid and none of them are that great or made me jump with joy when i got em[/spoiler]

1st Legendary: Up For Anything 1st Exotic: Radiant Dance Machines bought from Xur - damn boots wouldn't drop, but they did level me enough to finally do VoG.

Suros Regime. I'm an active pvp player and i was probably one of the assholes who made you want the suros nerfed. really, it was just comfortable to use, but it didn't affect my skill at all, i did just as good with any other auto rifle or hand cannon. but god that gun, giving you health was so useful in raids and its impact was amazing for bosses. not a single gun rare legendary or exotic in destiny 2 even comes close to the guns in d1
