They did it. They ruined Iron Banner
They truly did it. They removed the one thing that made Iron Banner unique. Our power level no longer matters.
I enjoyed it when i was out leveled in D1 by 20+ Light. THAT is what makes skill matter. Outplaying a team that out ranks you in power.
Now the playing field is leveled like the rest of crucible. Atleast the gear looks nice. To bad it will be -10 of your power.
I guess there is one other brightside. For one week we can choose a playlist that doesnt change game modes. Guess its to bad its Control and not Clash.
Come on bungie.. What players are you even trying to cater to anymore. I want the thrill back. The grind. The excitment that comes when Salad Hands doesnt have the gun for sale you want and three days in the gun drops for you after a match.. Bungie. What have you done.
Needless to say, i will still play a few matches a day because if this game ever does become what it was Destined to be i dont want to come back in with catch up to do.

I've said it before about D1 I'll say it again about D2. Destiny is nothing more than a social experiment to see how much bullshit bungie/Activision can do or how "little" they can do and get away with it while making extreme profit. There is so little in this game. They've used the exact same formula as they did last time and everybody is falling for the bullshit again. I fell for it... Again. Only angry Joe and bdobbins got it right. I'm already losing intrest in destiny 2 and it's only 1 month in. This shit will be sitting here on my shelf until the third or so expansion just like last time... I hate that I can't buy the gear I want with my tokens. I hate that crucible is nothing but team camping now. I hate that the clan system is shit where you can't get people to join because they don't want to leave the 100 member clan theyre in because they get free shit... I hate the music this time around. It's less epic and bland now. Exotics so far have been crap minus a couple Titan ones and like one warlock. I left destiny 1 in one month of year 1 because it was shit. I came back with taken king... Even named my dog oryx because destiny got so good... Bought D2 and it's the same bullshit rng like year 1. I won't be fooled a third time and honestly it's time this community grow a pair. Wake the -blam!- up and stand up as gamers against this bullshit! Stop blindly following bungie. I'm man enough to admit I was duped. It's ok to get screwed over by a company... It's not ok to defend a company that screwed you because openly admitting something is BS somehow makes you look stupid or bad. STAND UP WAKE UP

I absolutely love the Iron Banner and the whole story that was the Iron lords. The only thing, to me, that I don't like is the armor. The story of the Iron Lords is that their trying to be like the [b][u]Knights of old[/u][/b], not the Samurai weebs of who cares when.

Because light level ACTUALLY mattered in D1 IB. I watched people go in with minium light level and the very first gun you could get and DESTROY other people.

Because both Control and Supremacy promotes and rewards team oriented play more so than Clash, in my opinion. Clash is often dominated by or evolves into lone wolves who value their own kill count rather than playing and winning as a team. Thus, I can only surmise that in their mind they're contributing to the team effort and don't necessarily feel the need to play as a coordinated team, in pairs for example. Although many don't like being 'team shot' I acknowledge and respect the fact they see the advantage in doing so since they're playing smarter, not harder. Although a little off-topic I'm seeing a lot of people capping the third flag on Control when their team already has two flags. Please don't do that. It often doesn't help but rather hinders ones team. The reason being, since there are only four players per team it leaves only one player to defend one of the three control points (flags) rather than two at two flags* *This was also true when it was 6v6 but it's even more important now that it's 4v4.

Dude I think they just quit on us. I mean it's like being in a relationship and one person just stops giving a damn and starts phoning it in "for the sake of the kids". I mean why remove power levels what was the point of that? Why make every game mode the same did they really think that the game mode was that awesome and that everybody is going to want to play? Do they think they're going to be the new Starcraft or OverWatch? No chance in hell!

But I wish Bungie would bring a crucible variant every week for action oriented quickmatch players. E.g one or more of these changes at once: - faster movement. - shorter TTK. - 6v6. - power weapons for all. - faster super ability charge.

3 RepliesD2 is the Everybody Gets a Trophie game. Light level doesn't matter in Trials, it doesn't matter in Iron Banner and I can only assume it really doesn't matter in the Raid anymore either. I did notice when I was in the Raid last as a 296 vs a lot lower I was able to take more hits, but who knows anymore...............

They did this to make a competitive field fair to give every user the chance to win as much as the next. This makes us all [b]equal[/b] which is a large part of keeping players playing and enjoying the plague that is crucible content.
