They did it. They ruined Iron Banner
They truly did it. They removed the one thing that made Iron Banner unique. Our power level no longer matters.
I enjoyed it when i was out leveled in D1 by 20+ Light. THAT is what makes skill matter. Outplaying a team that out ranks you in power.
Now the playing field is leveled like the rest of crucible. Atleast the gear looks nice. To bad it will be -10 of your power.
I guess there is one other brightside. For one week we can choose a playlist that doesnt change game modes. Guess its to bad its Control and not Clash.
Come on bungie.. What players are you even trying to cater to anymore. I want the thrill back. The grind. The excitment that comes when Salad Hands doesnt have the gun for sale you want and three days in the gun drops for you after a match.. Bungie. What have you done.
Needless to say, i will still play a few matches a day because if this game ever does become what it was Destined to be i dont want to come back in with catch up to do.

18 RepliesI am not a complainer, I love this game, but I really need to ask a few questions. Why would you take away the main reason people played a particular game mode? Who thought this would be a good idea? What is the theory behind this very ignorant decision, do you not understand why people play your game? I asked these questions because you have managed to remove almost every aspect of the game, that kept normal people playing.

Pvp doesnt take any skill...if power level did count all u ppl in party would hide behind team mates anyhow for assist kills

I used iron banner to reach high light lvl because I didn’t have to comb lfg sites to play the damn thing.

1 ReplyFor me iron banner was never about showing off or power level, it was simply the easiest means to an end of hitting max light with characters after taken long and court of oryx got me so far. That's what worries me, I'd rather not have a 70th vendor in the game with coins that give me worse gear hard capping at 294 because the weekly engrams decided I don't get to leave 304 hell. I used to love iron banner because , sorry to say, I didn't care at all, if you didn't have a full team you knew there would be matchmaking and the chance to pair you up with a horrible player like me. I grind a ton, but really don't raid or even run nightfalls, it's a terrible feeling to be the weak link constantly holding back those around you. That's sort of what I like about destiny that yeah it takes me a lot longer but I can still eventually get their just by investing way way more time. (Unrelated god I wish they had a dunce mode for guided games, make the seeker sort of irrelevant, let the guys who are awful play and not penalize the other 5 players. Until they beat the "dummy raid" once that lets you see the content but nerfs the dunces rewards, Like let the dunce die and not wipe out the other guys. It would also act as an incentive to fill an empty roster spot with a dunce so you don't have to be as concerned with revive tokens for them and stuff. It might help seekers find raid guides without a 2 hour wait....)

Not quite. Because of the disparity of people who have actually delved into and worked their mods, kinderguardians will still get themselves stomped if they try to just jump in at level 1. There was some extra damage reduction, but that still didn't help people who were bad either. So in effect, it mattered little to be Mr. Light 400, except to try to stroke your e-peen a bit.

7 RepliesI never saw any difference from it from the occasional level 200 idiot who was 1 tapped by anything. The level advantages don't matter. They should still be there though because it's endgame content, same goes for trials

I still did good and still put down a lot of higher light Guardians. At the end of the day that so called advantage wasn't really an advantage to begin with. Not unless someone was dumb enough to hop into it right after hitting level twenty. It was probably dropped because of that. Makes sense.

Totally Confirmed! But this Game has another issue. 4 Players per Group which make it more important if one Player left the Game. Would love to see the full PvP Modes and Maps back in Destiny 2.

Now I'm not gonna dispute anything you said, for the most part I agree with a fair share of it.....BUT..... how are you even surprised? Trials has light level advantage disabled.... did you think banner would be any different??? The moment trials didn't have light advantages you knew your light lvl past 280 meant nothing in any mode unless you were playing prestige
