i'm sorry bungie , but this weeks nighfalls is as much fun as stepping in dog shit, i probably stop playing nightfalls altogether if this trend carries on , since the timer makes the game not fun + add ridiculous mechanics like sprint healing and you got a piece of virtual dog shit
INB4 fanboys: I completed it successfully on my first try but wont play it a 2nd time , simply because its tedious, annoying and not even rewarding ,. basically everything a videogame should NOT be

but to clarify , i was just voicing my subjective opinion on the matter as a person who played D1 since beta and really enjoyed the valinna nightfalls , even the nerfed ones to a extend , so as you can see i liked the challenging one more
to whoever liked the new nightfall , i'm happy for yall and enjoy it as much as you can now , because in destiny3 it might not be the same anymore, and maybe you will be the one making such thread after being disappoined something you liked has been changed to something you dont like
i dont expect that the nightfalls will be changed or something by bungie, why should they, its their game and their design choice , but it may influence my individual consumer choice for the next installment , not that i think it matters if i buy it or not , it depends on how it will influence people overall is and obviously im not the only one who was disappointed
[b]To clarify more why i dont like the timer:
the count down timer just constantly pisses me off whether im doing actually well on time or not , the sole presence of the timer makes me not want to play the NF and may be a important decision factor in deciding to move on to other games
i think also part of the reason why i dont like it since im under time pressure allday to be on time to work , schedules , deadlines etc. so i cant bear that kind of feeling also in my free time in a activity im supposed to enjoy , i dont mind playing challenging raids for hours , but please dont rush me doing a glorified strike[/b]

Too bad Bungie didn't poll a cross-section of D1 players asking what they thought of the Spindle mission (basically a timed Nightfall with the reward being an exotic sniper).

When I did the first Nightfall, I was totally against being timed. I used to enjoy the challenge of trying to solo the NF in D1. I suppose now it would be an even greater challenge to the point of nearly impossible. Now, I dont mind the timer. It is what it is and I will play it for the challenge it presents each week. However, If I could make a change, it would be that you can still "finish" the strike even after time is up. But your rewards will be diminished. And for every 30s of Time left on the Strike, you gain X% chance for an exotic reward.

People are only talking about prestige nightfalls when they say anything about the nightfall, correct?

Agreed. I haven't been doing the nightfalls at all, the timer just pisses me off. I won't even be trying another one until the timer is gone.

I understand where you're coming from and appreciate how many others don't like the set up. However it's quite easy to do once you get the mechanic/strategy down to a T. Did the prestige with 6 seconds left and helped a friend get his Rat King simply by grinding the NF and learning adapting....gots say that this weeks was the most enjoyable (when we completed it) yet.

Lol all the bungie dk riders saying timers are the best ! Nope it just boring and it's not fun ! Iv complete it on 3 toons and do prestige and I still think it's crap and boring to be rushed !

In my opinion the modifiers the nightfall’s have (time, prism, anomalies etc) are a good edition. Doing the prestige nightfall this week took a few attempts and tweaks to pass. If I could do it first time every time I think it would be pointless. Granted not everyone will be able to do it at all power levels but that’s the whole point I guess.

I kinda wish they would remove the timer, and just time how long you spent in there and set up a latter to see who is kicking the most ass in night falls each week, and give out exclusive gear for reaching low time brackets

Its an end game activity and not your right to breeze through it. I love how challenging the nightfall (especially the prestige mode) is. We often fail but go back in and get better and complete it. You kids today have such an entitlement attitude. Pfft.

I enjoy stepping in dog shit. Dogs tend to swallow valuable things like jewelry so I am always excited to step in shit and hope to find a nice diamond ring that I can trade in for some silver.

Ran it first try with two randoms. Don't get why people complain about it when it's not really difficult. Only thing I could see making it hard would be playing with dumbasses that don't change their element mods before starting and then bitch because shielded enemies are too hard to kill...

I don't see the word "Prestige" anywhere in your post, so I must assume you are talking about normal mode. If this is the case...bro. Completed this on Normal on one of my runs with an LFG pickup and my 8 year old (on the first try with him) and still Rat King'd it. Save your T for Teen speech, dgaf. Maybe you should DL Cuphead or Minecraft Story Mode, or frankly any other title where there's no pressure to learn sticks or buttons.

Bungo should will be consider to apply the mechanics of Resident Evil 4 'The mercenaries' mode, if you make kill-combos, timer is increased or add artifacts that increased time. IMOO

2 RepliesNormal was fine after we researched the anomaly locations. Got to boss with 11 minutes left before it bugged out and the fight wouldn't start. Finished it the next run. The only thing that bothered me is that there was one crystal behind a Hive barrier and it drove me nuts because I couldn't figure out of to get it.
