I suggested, since Destiny 1, that there should be an LFG kiosk at the tower. A drop down menu whereby you indicate the activity, number of people required etc and players can select which games they want to join.
Then, once accepted, you are on that person's fireteam from the tower and go into orbit with the required fireteam.
Whilst waiting for the LFG group to fill, the fireteam members already joined could be cashing their engrams, sorting their loadout / taking what you need out of your vault space etc. before you head into orbit and the activity.
The tech is all there, just needs the will and a bit of tweaking.

Dude. The number of times I've said this... Destiny is an mmo and for some reason they refuse to address the mmo basics that have been tried and tested by dozens of gaming companies. This is day 1 basic stuff here. Decent journal/quest tracking Marking way points Finding teammates on map A FREAKING LFG SYSTEM

Great idea..... would have to access all tower instances though? Otherwise your kiosk would only be able to hook you up with any of the limited number of people that are the tower with you at the time.

They could have it that when your activity is chosen at the LFG kiosk at the tower, it appears on the LFG listing on the Bungie app. It would just keep it more seamless and you could engage in the game without having to go from app to game and back again or not be pulled out of the game into orbit whilst queuing for what seems like eternity waiting on Guided Games. When your LFG group fills you get a blinking kiosk marker, like the other vendors, and you know you have players lined up ready to go. Its all there it just needs to be set up by Bungie. Who wants to sit at an orbit screen for 30 to 45 minutes waiting on Guided Games??

This is a brilliant idea, hopefully Bungie will see this

Eververse will have it soon 😁
