Just completed the story and adventures on all of the planets except for IO. Not even close to hitting 280 light but hopefully a good week or two I'll be ready. Mentality and emotionally.

Lol just picked it up, because I was super hesitant on buying it, and I actually feel a bit overwhelmed. There is so much going on and nothing feels explained, I played the first, but there are some differences for sure.

2 RepliesI'm 279 atm and only raided for five hours in D1. But I want to change that for D2 and I read the tactics, so I'm actually thinking about opening a team myself this or next week. Also met some players in Nightfall who are interested. I like being chill and not to cause stress. I'm also reasonable in terms of requirements. Fun? Yes please! Like who the hell needs 290+ for normal Nightfall? Been a raid leader in WoW for several years so I guess that could help. So if you're reading this and you're on PS4 and interested, my gt is same as here. You can add me if you want. I'd say like +/- 275 is okay for raid. Not saying I want to do this today, but perhaps still this week. Or next. I'm also curious about Trials. If the gear looks dope again that's gonna be one of my goals this weekend.

Worst part is my brother in law and sister lost their home : So I had to get a fill in until he gets a new system. I’m power leveling their accounts for them so we can hopefully be ready in a week or so. Hopefully.

I'm just sick of needing to use -blam!-ing LFG each time. How hard is it to have a recruitment chat in game, just like Warframe? I'll wait for my casual friends to catch up and see what we can do.

I work full time nights. I stayed up during the day to play. I could raid, I probably will within the week. The raids in one where fun. I didn't get to do the first couple in their hayday but I went back and did them. Destiny 1 was fun. I didn't know anything about it, I jumped in when Taken king came out. Little bit of a rough time figuring out the type of game. Destiny one was kinda hard on solo players ( I cant imagine how bad it would have been for a casual solo player). Also loading into raid teams for the first time was... interesting. I would suggest having a friend in the raid team, going in alone with a group CAN be rough. Its kind of a love hate thing. Some groups were so supportive, some were super harsh. I really REALLY wouldn't let not being able to raid affect your game play at all. The people your talking about are a different type of player, unless you want in that world? just chill and play. I would probably be considered a "hardcore" player. I work 830pm to 830am and drive an hour to and from work. So 12 hour shift with driving means 14 hour days... and I'd come home around 930am-10am and play until I cant see anymore... or id fall asleep in the middle of a mission (normally around 4 or 5 pm). As super lame as it is: it was important to me to dive into another worldly adventure. I had no expectations for Destiny 2. I just wanted to play. I even bought a ps4 for my mom and girlfriend, plus 2 more copies of destiny 2 and two psn cards. Their both having a blast.. watching my 55+ year old mom take down ghaul was too priceless.

I somehow got time to get myself to 20 and then my light level reached 230. I was close, but then I remembered how ugly my Guardian looked and I made myself restart. My motivation is out the window.

Notifications just stop working after you get so many per hour... then bam all the sudden at 3 am they all catch up and scares the hell out of you!

I wallow in my casual filth. I have a clan practically dedicated to it (The Monkeydome https://www.bungie.net/en/ClanV2/Chat?groupId=161577). Also, we are recovering from Irma and just got power back. I'm trying to play over a cellular hotspot, so Crucible is out of the question. Are there still Clan Alliances? If so, I will try to ally our filthy casual clans.

Like are you serious about complaining about the HARDEST content in the game Bungie has to offer? Bunch of horse shit. Just the way things are dropping now seems like you don't/won't need to raid to get max light. There literally is no pleasing people.. This is coming from a person that runs two businesses, has 1 child of my own, partner has 2. Balance that and a social life... There is really NO excuse anymore... Bungie is literally giving you FREE shit

Hahahaha, great post OP!!! I'm not sure I'd consider myself casual as I do put a lot of hours into this game, mainly due to being retired, and because I love it so much. Still, I just go to level 20 last night and I can get to around 200 light. I have a lot more to do to even think about the raid. I like to explore and I'm holding off on the final campaign missions because I don't want it to end. Based on the "likes" we're in good company.
