So I was doing a public event in the Sunken Isles on Earth, and near the water I noticed a certain fallen enemy named "Reaver Vandal" with extremely high health. Not even a full blown super can kill him instantly. I don't know if he's a High Value Target or not, but he shows up there quite often.
I'm curious if this was a little Easter Egg that Bungie left there as a reference to Randal the Vandal from Destiny 1. They both have high health, and they're both on Earth. Also "Reaver" was a common name on tough fallen enemies in the first game, so that could also possibly point to Randal the Vandal.
I know it's probably nothing, but I figured that I may as well leave this here. Either way I'm gonna call him Randal from now on.
He's in the Sunken Isles on Earth by the water, right next to where that Cabal public event starts.

3 RepliesWill check it out, thanks.

1 ReplyGotta be. He doesn't seem to have any real point except hanging out on that island on one of the least visited areas in patrol... just like the area Randall dominated

As far as the community is concerned, yes that is Randal, or one of his lost cousins. However, bungle hasn't gone out and said hey look it's Randal guys!!! It's just one of those things that you'll notice and smile a bit, like seeing the khvostov leaning against a crate somewhere (forgot where I found it, sorry) or devrim Kay using the NLB

No, you kill him in WoTM. There's enemies like that on each planet with a regional chest nearby.

I think it's definitely an Easter Egg and homage to Randall. So far this Vandal is the only Reaver anything I've seen in the game, so I think it's definitely Randall.

2 RepliesNot even the transition to a new game was capable of killing Randal.

1 ReplyAround the church a high value target shows up and it's a vandal, I don't know the name but it starts with a R.

I noticed this last night and thought the exact same thing!

1 Reply100% an Easter egg. I was farming public events last night with a buddy and one pass back there, we decided to have a boxing match with Randall. Took around 45 seconds for the both of us to take him out. Not to mention, he's on a lonely little island with his shank too.
