Raid Timing Stunningly Ignorant

A week. One week. That is the total time we are allotted to enjoy the campaign and explore the new bungo universe before we go balls deep into the new raid. The concept of letting us enjoy the content and pacing out the new raid, say, two weeks after release must be too complicated for these imbeciles. And on a Wednesday, seriously? What is wrong with you, in what world is this considered an intelligent idea? I'm well aware that you went completely out of your way to provide ample excuses for why exactly none of our hard-earned items that took an excruciatingly long amount of time to collect would not transfer over. But, hey, at least your embarrassing tendencies are still here from the original destiny bungo team to remind us of those early years. Thanks.

  • Who mandated that you have to play the raid one week after launch? Take your time. It will wait for you.

  • Good god man , you must have had your cheerios pissed in a lot as a child , why do you care if its released early ? while I roll my eyes equally at raid a week from wed , it doesn't matter if the raid is released wed , next week or even 3 weeks after launch , people will still rush if they have no restraint or want that sweet ,sweet , worlds first people bitch about. its not like bungie is the only one that does this , recently the FFXIV : Stormblood expansion had its first raid within a week back in june/ july, nobody bitched there , cause its a fact of life that MMO's and MMO like games do not keep people dedicated to endgame if they don't provide it sooner rather than later . unless what you are really concerned bout is world first , there's nothing stopping you from doing what I plan on doing with my clan , waiting till we're good and ready and letting others find the booby-traps of the raid first.

  • Just because they only give you a week doesn't automatically mean you have to stop enjoying the game and play it. I assume they only gave a week for the hardcore players anyway, but I don't know what to say about the Wednesday release, agree with you on that one.

  • I have a feeling that is enough time. I personally think Bungie will make the normal raid more of a huge cooperative story mission that any casual with 5 friends can experience while the Hard mode will be the thing that requires every advantage possible.

    • It's catering to the YouTubers and streamers who want to tell the world how fantastic they are. It works well for generating hype and (maybe) some sakes but people rushing through the initial content to do the raid just leads to the game dying faster. If Bungie left it a bit longer to release the raid or made progression more than just farming gear (maybe include quests and the D1 grimoire-type achievements in light level progression) then the game would last longer. There would be less people complaining about boredom and you wouldn't get the situation where a minority have quit the game after grinding the raid before the majority has reached the light level to do their first run.

    • Not nearly as ignorant as this post makes you sound. You must be new here. VoG released September 16th 2014, aka one week after launch... which was a Tuesday since you obviously weren't there. This is par for the course with a raid release. I swear people just want to complain about anything these days.

      • I agree that it's a little too soon probably, but I think they know this and want to slowly bring people into the raid to test it.

      • Then don't do the raid until you're ready

      • Nobody is forcing you to do the raid at all. You can wait a year to do it if you want.

      • No one is forcing you to do it the first day it drops. The raid will be hammered for a long time with hard mode and challenges coming out later on. Just because you dont do it on week 1 does not mean your missing out on anything. Stop whining

      • It doesn't really matter when it comes out, because after the first day or even before, the exclusion starts. I know everyone is free to do as they please, but I for one, cannot keep this up. Not after 500 raid completions in D1.

      • I agree that Wednesday is a very stupid day to release the raid. However, you don't HAVE to play the raid the day it comes out. I won't even be here the day the raid drops. I won't even be able to play 10 hours in the first week. I'm picking up the game, downloading it, and going to work. Then I'll be without an Xbox starting the next Monday for about a week+. They release it early for the players that will be raid ready. It isn't going anywhere once it comes out. I'm gonna take my time and enjoy everything before I try to rush the raid.

      • You are the ignorant one. There are some people who want to go world's first. Some people have to understand that they don't have to rush the game. It's more of a challenge for those who want to try it and 2 weeks would make the challenge easier.

      • Nobody is going to make you speedrun the game, the raids have always been about a week after release and if Bungie would have waited 2 weeks or a month people would have complained about that as well. If u don't want to raid week one, take your time. I don't understand this complaint at all.

            • Why are you even tripping my dude? You're not going to be world first or even have a chance at it. This is for those people who WANT to compete to be the first. Part of that race is the race to raid ready.....not very challenging if they give everyone a month to be ready....not much of a race either.
But, hey, at least your embarrassing tendencies are still here from the original destiny bungo team to remind us of those early years. Thanks.
funny you'd say this as it is not the same company that made all those early games. some of the talent went to 343 Industries to focus on the HALO series. so to say they're still the same .. is completely ill informed, and sadly shows that you yourself are being imbecilic. so stop.
A week. One week. That is the total time we are allotted to enjoy the campaign
Really because as far as I knew they were just releasing it. Didn't know they were pointing a gun at our heads and forcing us to run the raid on day one. Oh wait....they aren't....you, me, and everyone else can tackle the raid when we choose and enjoy the rest of PVE at our leisure. Do you also get mad at release dates for movies and games because you didn't have enough "allotted time" to get the money together and buy them day 1?

              • Vault of Glass released 1 week after destiny 1 launched. Kings fall and whatever the RoI raid is called released a few days after their release. So shut up, put on your big girl panties, and deal with it. This is nothing new to destiny

                • Every release from Destiny (Vanilla & DLC) have launched the new raid within a week of release. This is nothing new, matter of fact it's right on par with the prior releases. YOU don't have to do the raid in the first day, or even the first week. But some people want the raid as soon as possible

                  • This is a non issue. The raid will still be there by the time you are ready to raid. You never stood a chance at being Worlds First to complete it anyway. Which is the only reason to be upset about when it is released.

                      • You throw words like"stunningly ignorant" around pretty easily, don't you. They haven't "allotted" anything to us. They're releasing a raid at a time of their choosing. It's up to you to choose to play it when you like. If you think you only have a week to burn through all the game content before being inconceivably "forced" to play the raid, that's your choice. No one's making you do anything. Don't be dramatic.
