Xbox one X performance compared to PC

So seeing that there has been all this hype over the xbox one x and how its suppose to be all that and a bag of chips.... how will the performance compare when playing on the xbox one x to the PC? This PC beta has been fantastic! Super smooth and fantastic graphics.... the PS4 Pro experience was not even close to this. Just trying to get a feel for if I should purchase this game for the xbox or PC. Thanks!

  • When it comes to games the rule of thumb is that PC is always better unless you own a potato.

  • The Xbox One X will be playing with Xbox One owners, so the build will be the same on both consoles. Expect 30 fps and similar draw distances, particle effects, etc.

Console is still built off of a 4 or 5 year old Jaguar design. Yes, a revamped setup... but it is still outdated APU style designs by comparison to what is available in the PC market on even a quite modest budget. Unless your PC gaming option dates back to something like 2012... there really isn't much point in comparing them.

    • are you looking at like frames? or overall graphics? PC has both of course, as for the one X i dont know if it will be able to do 60fps because there might be a cap. I would assume it could/should be capped at 60fps as Forza 7 is at 60 in 4k. Which i know they are different games and graphically done different (forza actually used photos) but i mean its capable of a game in 4k so it should be able to run the average med settings that consoles get at 60fps right? If you are looking strictly about how amazing it looks and you want eye candy. hands down the PC version. i do believe the PC gets HDR (i know it does because i use it) and the console does not get HDR? along with being able to get high/highest settings. I mean it looks great in 4k completely maxed out.

      • 1x isn't that much more powerful than PS4 pro. It's not quite all it's being hyped up to be. PC will be the smoothest experience.

            • Get it on PC. You'll enjoy it far better. Plus it will have a far better community.
