I ordered the D2 digital deluxe download back in early July. I received a confirmation email & the beta code & that's it. When do you actually get the code to download D2? Best Buy said the day of release. I never pre-ordered before but that doesn't sound right. I thought I would get the code in advance & have my PS4 ready to go on release day with the game pre-loaded. Isn't it going to take an hour or so to download? If everyone get their code on release day wont it be a cluster & take all day to download? What am I missing? Did Best Buy screw up? Should I have already received my code? Thanks for any input.

1 ReplyOk so I preorder d2 3 months ago from Best Buy (digital deluxe) the game came out two days ago and they still didn't send the code. DO NOT BUY DIGITAL DELUXE EDITIONS OF GAMES AT BEST BUY. They said it would come in 24 hours of me calling, it's been 48 hours. Still no code and can't even refund it.

1 ReplyI've called and they've called me back twice now. They said they're having issues getting the codes from Bungie. I cancelled my order and went to Gamestop. Got the code on the receipt after purchase. Best Buy dropped the ball on this one man.

2 RepliesYou'll have to ask best buy. I'd say they are correct and will give you the code on release, as is the same if you got the physical edition, you wouldn't be allowed to take it home a few days before release just to preload it. The download is entirely dependant on your download speed and nothing to do with bungie as the download is from Microsoft or Sony and they have people downloading games all day every day. If I was you, I'd cancel the best buy order and pre order via your console as you're going digital anyway so why not go direct to the guys giving the digital edition, that way you can preload without any worries
