In a way, Destiny 2 is a D1 expansion. But that D1 expansion was something never produced. Destiny 2 started production after D1 was released.* As for your other points... you've really lost your touch. 1. So far, there is only 1 new exotic seen, but I do understand that maybe a few more will come back. 2. Remade* While I do see Dawnblade being compared to Sunbreaker, Sunbreaker wasn't able to fly (without TG). I don't remember any class being able to fly, actually. We lost the "Comet 2" expansion as well as tge DLC set to follow it when Bungie found out they could make as much if not more money with easily added microtransactions then they would with a full on expansion that they had to actually build... So we got Festival of the Lost and that content that was halfway done got polished into Destiny 2. What really blows my mind though, is in several interviews Luke Smith has said "I dont know if we will get ______ in the game by launch." Like Fukc man, you've had years!!! The only returning planet is Earth (should be understandable). Ok so a COUPLE exotics return, but if D2 has 50 exotic armor items...does 1 or 2 from D1 really matter? ANOTHER MENTION TO THIS: Destiny is a 10-year overall game...it is very understandable to continue the story with same enemy types, lore etc. If you not willing to accept it...don't buy it!!!

The bugs betray it as the same engine just mildly updated. I even had the "Hunter trips on pebble and dies" bug. However, in Bungies defence, this is no different than using unreal engine 4 for two or more games in a series. The thing that is burning Bungie in most eyes is the painfully obvious lack of any innovation in D2. Making it little more than something that could have been introduced in a 30 dollar expansion.

Pretty much honestly, you'd have to be an excited child or just plain have Bungles D down your throat to not see it.

The process of releasing a dlc every few months keeps the game fresh. It's a good thing and it keeps the people working for the company employed so we can continue to receive more content. You get what you pay for. It's the best fps I have ever played and I don't mind paying Bungie a small amount every so often to keep myself entertained. Nothing is free stop acting like a welfare case.

A continuation of the story----and the in-game Universe----started in Destiny 1. It is not----nor should it be----an entirely new game/IP. I love Bilzzard games....and the Diablo franchise....but each iteration of "Diablo" are not true sequels. They are basically new IPs that Blizzard very loosely ties to the Diablo franchise so that they can take advantage of brand loyalty. ...and it is practices like this that, imo, is why so many people don't really quite understand what a "sequel" really is supposed to be.

Old planets? Where are those Old adds? You do understand how a sequel works right? Halo, fallout, Elder scrolls, borderlands had the same enemies appearing in the game yet no one complained, why now? Supers reskinned? What exotic in d1 behaved like the sweet business or sunshot?
