Vault of Glass raid walkthrough (incl. challenges) PART 11 - 12

11. FINAL STAGE – PART 1 The boss fight consists of two consecutive phases. You should split up in two teams of three. One part going to the sync plate on the left and one going to the sync plate on the right. The first phase starts as soon as anyone on either team starts shooting the snipers. Before we start the fight make sure to divide all the different roles in your team. Decide who’s going to be: - Relic holder #1 - Relic holder #2 (Defender) - Aid of Relic holder #2 - Relic holder #3 - Gatekeeper #1 - Gatekeeper #2 GETTING RELIC #1 The main strategy here is to kill all the yellow bar snipers first. Then get rid of the GATEKEEPER. The gatekeeper is an easy to beat hydra. As soon as the gatekeeper is defeated a Relic will drop in the center of the map. Relic holder #1 will pick up this relic. The RELIC PARTY (Relic Holder #1, #2, aid of relic holder #2 and Relic holder #3) get ready to enter the gate to Mars. IMPORTANT: From the point of entry the sync plate and gate on the: - LEFT takes you to MARS; - RIGHT takes you to VENUS. GETTING RELIC #2 Gatekeeper #1 and #2 get on the left sync plate in order to open the gate to MARS. The gatekeepers defend the sync plate from adds and make sure the portal stays open. Once it is open the RELIC PARTY travels through to Mars. Relic holder #1 focuses on killing the goblins while the rest of the team takes care of the hydra. As soon as Relich holder #1 has his supercharge available he can use it on the hydra as well. All players inside the portal need to cleanse regularly. Relic Holder #1 can cleanse the team easiest when all party members are standing close together. Once the hydra is killed (watch out for the explosion this causes) your team needs to take care of two minotaurs (Preatorians) with void shields. By killing the hydra a new relic appears in the back. Relic Holder #2 picks this relic up. The Relic party now heads back to the portal and exits Mars. Once outside everybody stands together in order to receive a final cleanse. GETTING RELIC #3 AND DEFEND THE CONFLUX As soon as the relic party is outside again the gatekeepers switch sides. They move from the left sync plate to the sync plate on the right in order to open the portal to Venus. Relic holder #2 and his aid will now go to the back of the map on the stairs right before the actual Glass Vault and take down all the adds there (Preatorians and Goblins). In the center of the map a conflux appears. No enemy is allowed to sacrifice itself to this conflux. The remaining members of the Relic Party (Relic Holder #1 and #3) now get ready to enter the portal on the right to Venus. As soon as the portal opens they go through. Relic Holder #1 can use his supercharge as soon as the enter Venus on the hydra. The hydra will soon spawn to the back of the map on Venus. The relic party should now focus on taking down the yellow bar smaller adds first. Once they are cleared move to the back of the map and take down the Hydra and the two minotaurs (Preatorians). As soon as the hydra is down a new relic appears. Once al the adds are cleared Relic Holder #3 picks up the last relic. Both head back to the portal and exit Venus. DEFENDING THE CONFLUX On the far side of the map Relic holder #2 and his aid are already defending the conflux. Relic Holder #1 will defend the stairs right behind the portal to Venus on the right. Gatekeeper #1 will aid this player in defending the conflux. Relic holder #3 and gatekeeper #2 will do the same on the stairs behind the Mars portal. Keep defending for a relative short time until the loot drops. The next phase will start automatically, so head back to the sync plates. Again three people left (LEFT PARTY) and three on the right (RIGHT PARTY) 12. FINAL STAGE – PART 2 CHALLENGE MODE Stay in cover at the sync plates and do not let yourself get hurt by the splash damage from Atheon. After some time 3 random party members will teleport to either Mars or Venus. They will be named: TRAVEL PARTY. The travel party consists of: - Relic holder - Oracle destroyer #1 - Oracle destroyer #2 The guardians that remain behind will be named: REMAIN PARTY and consists of: - Gatekeeper - Oracle destroyer #3 - Oracle destroyer #4 As soon as the TRAVEL PARTY arrive at their destination they shout it out to the REMAIN PARTY, either “MARS, MARS, MARS” or “VENUS, VENUS, VENUS.” REMAIN PARTY SEQUENCE: When MARS is shouted the Gatekeeper will go as quickly as possible to the sync plate on the left in order to open the portal to Mars. Oracle destroyer #3 and #4 help clear the adds near the sync plate and as soon as the portal opens they head in. They each destroy 1 oracle, get cleansed and head back out. As soon as the first person (whoever this is) gets back through the portal. This person takes the place of the gatekeeper. The gatekeeper will now enter the portal, destroy one of the final oracles, get cleansed and head back out. When VENUS is shouted this team will do the exact same thing but on the other sync plate and portal. TRAVEL PARTY SEQUENCE: After shouting the location the relic holder picks up de relic and head down to the adds and takes them down. Then heads up to the portal and stands there to cleanse the oracle destroyers before they leave through the portal. Oracle destroyer #1 en #2 destroy the first two oracles that appear, then head back to the portal, get cleansed and head out. The gatekeeper destroys the final oracle. Cleanses the remaining party members and heads back through the portal. As soon as the relic holder is back through the portal the entire team will join the relic holder on the center platform facing Atheon. The relic holder will now press the shield button (normal setup <<L1>>) in order to keep the team from getting hurt. Everyone else should get his SLEEPER SIMULANT and do constant damage at the crit spot of Atheon (belly). TIP: IF YOU HAVE A TITAN WITH WEAPONS OF LIGHT, PUT THE BUBBLE ON THE BACK OF THE PLATFORM, SO WHEN YOU RELOAD YOUR SLEEPER YOU CAN GRAB THE BENEFITS OF EXTRA DAMAGE ON ATHEON. A HUNTER CAN TETHER ATHEON IN ORDER TO DO MORE DAMAGE. BECAUSE OF CONTINOUS SUPERS ONLY ONE HUNTER ON NIGHTSTALKER IS REQUIRED TO KEEP ATHEON TETHERED. Above the super bar there is a timer. The relic holder will keep an eye on that timer and counts it down. Around 4 seconds everybody should leave the center platform (safest to the back – entrance door) and head back to their respective sync plates. Now the sequence is repeated. Two damage phases should do the trick if Sleepers are being used in combination with tethers and weapons of light. In order to obtain challenge mode each individual fireteam member should destroy 1 oracle. So 1 oracle each. You can check if you destroyed an oracle when you see your name come up above the super bar when an oracle is destroyed. The relic holder should pay attention to this area while destroying adds on Mars or Venus, because sometimes they can destroy an oracle by accident while clearing adds. GOOD LUCK GUARDIANS!
