So, the Grenade Launcher in D2 BETA... Am I the only one that hates it?
I can not stand the thing. It is hard to figure out how to use it and even when you are right on target with it, the damage seems too low. In my opinion, the juice is not worth the squeeze.

I've had absolutely no problems with it. It kills the enemies and I don't miss 🤷🏻♂️

I don't think I've ever liked grenade launchers in games when there are other options in the slot, and even then I still do. They could make a game called GRENADE LAUNCHERS AND NOTHING ELSE!! I would hate the grenade launcher.

1 ReplyI don't care for it. Finally managed to get heavy on endless vale, emptied a clip of 4 at a team of 3 camping B, hits connect, YAY, wait, nope... none of them die and I get team shotted. Laughs we're had by everyone. Except me. 🙄😥 Plz bring back machine gun... plz, bungie? 😥

Think its grenades have the same shitty power as the ones you throw...no 1 hit kills unless the enemy has suffered enough damage before you use them..makes them a complete waste of time in PVP and they are a waste of space in PVE too.

3 RepliesIn PvP it seemed wildly inconsistent, sometimes sorta effective and others seemed to register no damage. Not a weapon I would choose in its present state.

It's nice, when it hits the target. But you can probably use a rocket launcher to greater effect

To me, it's alright in PvE and worthless in PvP. If you want to make something go boom in PvP you might as well use a rocket (which is also straight bologna)

I'm 50/50 with it. Sometimes it won't kill someone right in front of you but other times it'll wipe the enemy team

Sure, I've struggled with it but it was useful in parts of the strike, especially when taking on hoards of those Cabal dog-like things and beating the adds in the boss fight. And I went on an absolute tear with it in PvP which was more luck than skill but it does show that once one gets the hang of it, it might be useful. Also, you've used only one version of this weapon. There will be others with different stats and perks. I've been disappointed with the scout rifle that's loaded with the hunter. I've been a a D1 scout rifle lover but I've really hate this one. I also know that there will be many other scout rifle choices once the game launches that I will like and use. It's just one version of a new weapons type so just because it's a bit of a mystery to use does not mean that all grenade launchers will suck.

3 RepliesI save it the whole strike and then dump it all into the boss, the only thing it's useful for. Pvp it's trash and doesn't do much damage to adds unless you're willing to drop several rounds on them.

I did ok with it against yellow bars takes them down to about quarter health with one shot. You just have to get used to the arc.

2 RepliesI think it's extremely underwhelming to use. When I fired my first grenade out of it & saw what it did I felt like I was using some type of gun that shoots tennis balls. On the bright side though you may want to give the TWAB a read because they buffed it for the full version of the game along with the super energy regen.

2 RepliesI hate it but they seem efficient if used correctly. Some titan just went on a spree with one ...seems to be one hit kills if the shot is dead on and the enemy has no super. If theres a super, then the rounds are marshmellows
