It's basically just a 3-day beta so I'm worried that I won't get the chance to throw another grenade ;)
But seriously, is it just me or is the cooldown on nades soooo much longer than in D1? I tried to throw one several times and nothing happened cause it wasn't available yet. I had to plan using grenades during a strike to make sure I won't waste it too early. Shouldn't this kind of resource management be reserved for the supers?
I'm curious what you guys think - is the cooldown for nades way too long in your opinion or is it OK?

I grenade per account per weekly reset!

Is that the wet sock you throw at bad guys every now and again that gives a good light show and noise but doesn't really do anything? I thought it was cosmetic
-
No, but by the morning of September 7th your grenade should be good to go! Sadly i wont have my nova bomb up again till the Saturday after launch.

100 silver per grenade. 500 per super. 1000 per purple brick.

29 RepliesEdited by FreakySheikh: 7/22/2017 10:27:25 PMCool downs could be reduced a little bit. People need to get used not crutching on abilities as much as before. Edit: Yikes I just realized I put cool downs could be reduced. I totally meant to say increased a bit. Also I'm referring to abilities being a crutch in PVP. If you're playing D1 right now you can't deny that it isn't. Most people throw a grenade and wait for impact before engaging in a fight. That's horrible in my opinion. Sorry for the confusion lol.

Grenades? What grenades? The thing I threw and stuck to that Psion didn't even take down its shield. I thought it was an egg.

You can have mine as well, it's next to useless; it looks pretty though.

I know right. I kinda miss being able to randomly throw a sticky every 30 seconds and get a kill. At least in D1 I know a dudes around that corner and he will probably beat me in a 1v1 gunfight,no worry pop around the corner real fast and thrown my sticky

1 ReplyI heard that every so often, you can hear a haunting Luke Smith snicker when you press L1 with no grenade charge.

Edited by GalaxySpider: 7/22/2017 7:45:53 PMCould be better for PvE. Totally fine for PvP. At least that's my feedback for the base cooldown (with no subclass perks reducing the cooldowns). Not a big deal, certainly they will adress it. They should have given us some armor mods to play around tough. There will be mods to decrease cooldowns for abilities but yeah, without them, we get this weird impression now and can't really test that stuff out.

I'll catch a grenade for you ( ͡◉ ͜ʖ ͡◉)

No, you used the one grenade they gave you. Hope you used it well

7 RepliesEdited by Seraph: 7/22/2017 7:50:33 PMIt worries me that Bungie have acknowledged certain issues like Weapon damage and boss health but they have remained silent on the issue of the slow rate of recharge on all abilities. I'm not a FPS fan and I have no interest in playing a game where all I'm doing is shooting at things. I got into Destiny because of its Sci-Fi, Fantasy and RPG influences. For many gamers that was the 'hook' that got us into Destiny and if Bungie are going to get rid of that thing that made Destiny special then I won't be coming back.

4 RepliesEdited by Kone19ps: 7/22/2017 6:05:49 PMIt's incredibly aggravating. There are so many groups of enemies and no efficient way to deal with them. Pve fun factor has been severely hampered by pvp and refusal to split the game. Tap tap tapping away is not fun.

Grenade absolutely........Super now that I can't give much chance of happening.
-
Grenades deal 50% of their original damage and take 3x longer to regen. Makes sense, right? It's a small issue to some people but for people like me who enjoy the abilities...it's a make or break situation as to if I'll preorder and with how I uninstalled the beta after an hour..............you can guess how it panned out for me.

5 RepliesI might be biased toward hunters but I think since hunter dodge is less useful to the team than rifts/shields it should be on a faster cooldown. Or keep the same cooldown and have it actually dodge incoming damage. Or have the one that gives you melee energy when youre near an enemy actually give you a full melee charge and not require an enemy present. Or actually make it do something for the team. Dear lord.
Will i get another grenade before the beta ends?
Even if you do, they're not strong enough to kill anything anymore anyway.
-
2 RepliesAgreed! You only get like 2 nades in a game!
-
Everyone's stuff is low level, we have no idea how long the recharge will take in the real game Chill

16 RepliesI can't bring myself to play it again. I started out with the Titan and realized how bad Bungie messed up big time. For those that say "wait and see" Bungie will adjust things. Sorry, 3 years of the world's worst sandbox ever in gaming history is enough for me.

Buff base cool down for grenades to 50 sec in pve + a pve dps boost. I'm curios how effective grenade charge speeding up gear will be.
-
1 ReplyI agree on grenades and I think the cool down should be reduced, but not all the way down to what it was in D1, BC I would say that D1 was pretty grenade heavy. It's also worth mentioning that this thread is one of countless in the feedback column about cool down times for now it only grenades but everything, so I really can't see bungie not doing anything about it with in the actual game release.

Edited by Corrick II: 7/23/2017 2:59:45 AMCool downs I can live with. The time to kill is literally killing me. It's like the lead combat designer stood up and said "ok guys, I know we've been having trouble figuring out how to make weapons feel different so let's just halve the damage and double enemy armor. Sound good? Good" And then after a minute... "And cabal shields? Double them too. No, not strength, I mean literally double them. I want two of everything!"

2 RepliesEdited by Optimus_immortel: 7/23/2017 11:07:37 AMplayers use them for kills when they should be used for evasive maneouvers or to pinch a player in a corner or lane so no they dont need a quicker cooldown.

6 RepliesNope because of the shit PvP players who want another overwatch, cod, battlefield multiplayer only game with a shit story. But everyone is so focused on abilities an such in PvE and not at all worried about weapons. Even though PvP and PvE should be sepreated to allow balancing to be easier but to many bungie F boys would rather kiss there ass instead of tell them they messed up again.
