[BUNGIE] Destiny 2 Beta Investigation: Error Code MOOSE
Hello all,
Since Early Access to the Destiny 2 Beta began, we have been investigating player reports of MOOSE error codes impacting various activities.
To aid in this investigation, we are asking impacted players to provide additional information concerning their network circumstances. Please see the following:

Edited by Forcado: 7/23/2017 11:53:46 AMI have the same situation as JohnyBigodes. Tried several times to go through the first mission, only to fail miserably on my 20 or more attempts at it. I tried everything: restarting the console, reinstalling the beta, reinstalling my router, trying wired or Wi-Fi connection, everything. I was a completely hardcore fan of Destiny 1, but this beta experience is amongst one of the worse (if not, the worst) I've ever had. Please, make sure that this does not happen on September 6th, and it would be a nice touch if you could solve these issues and allow people to replay the beta when the problems are fixed. I would be completely upset if I paid for the pre-reserve to get beta early access, and failed to even complete the first activity of this beta. • PS4 • Homecoming mission • I've tried both wired and wireless - still the same problems. • Mine is the only console connected. • I'm playing from home. • Technicolor Tg784n v3

Trying to play the open beta and keep getting the moose error code always in the same part of the tutorial mission,.When I'm supposed to follow ikora to the north tower, the door opens but no enemies spawn, nothing happens for a while and then after a few seconds I get returned to orbit with the moose error code. I'm glad I didn't pay for the pre-reserve, since I've antecipated that there could be some problems like these preventing people from enjoying the beta, and I would be really frustrated if I did. Now I'm not really sure if I want to buy the game when it launches since I'm afraid there can be many connection issues. I have my PS4 on DMZ mode so there should be no network problems on my end. I think Bungie should open the beta for another weekend in the near future after they try to fix this for everyone, so players who had all these problems can really test the game and not just play for 5-10 min of the tutorial level. • Playing on my PS4, from Portugal. • The tutorial mission, since I could never get past it in my near 10 attempts. • Tried wired and wireless connection with no change. • This is the only console in my network connection. • I'm trying to play from home. • My router is a Technicolor Tg784n v3, and My ISP is MEO.

I had the same problem ob ps4 until set the connection type on PPOE on ps4 wireless settings and now all is perfect.

In the story mission, when I get to the Ikora part, had to use mobile hotspot to finally end the mission. On the strike it's impossible to play the end mostly. • Are you currently using a [b]Wired or Wireless[/b] connection when attempting to play the Destiny 2 Beta? Wired when error occurred, wireless(3g mobile hotspot) when is ok. • Are there [b]multiple consoles[/b] on your Local Network connected to the Destiny 2 Beta? Yes, 2 ps4 and one Xbox one S, but allready tried to use just one and keep the others unplugged and the result is the same. • Are you currently attempting to play from a [b]University[/b]? No. • Could you provide any information about the [b]Router[/b] you use for your home network? It's a Thompson(but in some parts of the web I find reference to this being a technicolor also) TG784n V2 provided by my ISP(meo the largest ISP in Portugal) and most of the people affected here are also from this provider, but there are some with Vodafone also.

So after two days of epic fails I finally beat the Moose by using my mobile hotspot. Omg seriously yes, i still can't believe that a mobile hotspot worked better than an ethernet connection to NBN @ roughly 80mbs. Thanks to someone on here who suggested it sorry I can't recall who.

3 RepliesI play on PS4. I'm constantly returned to orbit in one of two places, where Ikora should spawn, or once I get on the Cabal ship. I'm using a wireless connection. I play from home, not from a University. As far as I'm concerned, I'm the only one connected to the beta. I have "CLARO" a puertorrican telefone and internet service provider.

Ps4 Wired In strike I can not finish the strike. Whenever I get to the boss, I die and I spawn on top. Even if I wait to join my fireteam, do the loading and I always come to stop on top, until it takes me to orbit, appearing error code MOOSE. I'm seeing that I'm not going to complete this strike ...

Ps4 When i play d2 beta in ps4 party the game give me baboob errror but if i play without party only alone its still normal everything is ok Wireless Yes my brother have ps4 too but he never got this errror and he play with the party everytime No I have virgin media hub 3.0 200 mega with fibre and in is crash only if i use party for talk with my teammates

( the one you have to complete before you can do anything else) Wireless One console Playing at home Thomson TG789vn This has been going on since the 19th, I'm severely disappointed that all the help we get is "just relaunch the activity" that doesn't help! Preordered to be a part of the beta and if the beta is supposed to be a glimpse in to the complete game then I don't know if it is worth paying for a game that has network issues from the beginning!

Xbox Usually occurs in quickplay and competitive Wired connection There are two consoles on my local network I am playing from home, not from a university I use a Netgear Nighthawk R7000 gaming and streaming router.

First mission, either nothing spawns in the forst room but mainly i complete the 3 waves with Zavala & go to join Ikora the door opens and the music changes but no spawn of enemies or Ikora, then a boot to orbit about 15 seconds later. That area did work once and i killed the final enemy got on the ship with Holliday was dropped in the next area run into the building and same problem no enemies spawn then boot to orbit. I have played it over and over on different days at different times with different characters all ending in the same result. • Are you currently using a Wired or Wireless connection when attempting to play the Destiny 2 Beta? Really bummed that I can't even get through the first mission though & more bummed that i will miss out on my extra goodies because I can't play it through 😢

2 RepliesSOLUTION TO MOOSE ERROR CODE IN DESTINY 2 BETA Hello destiny comunity, after 2 days of endless search and frustration for a fix to the MOOSE error code i finally have the SOLUTION. While searching through the forums i saw that most of the people expiriencing the moose error were from countries mostly in europe and south america and almost none from the USA so i thought that the problem had something to do with geographical locations and restrictive networks from different contries, I live in Venezuela and Internet problems is one of the least important problems that we are facing right now with ongoing dictatorship but am a hardcore destiny fan so i kept searching. I started to search for answers and found that some people used their mobile smartphones to enable hotspot to their consoles and could overcome the eror so i tried it. It worked and i finally got passed the first 60 seconds of the openning mision, enemies started to load properly and i could finish the mision. By doing this i was wasting my cell data so i turned it of and plugged in my ehernet cable conected to a netgear router with open NAT and loaded destiny 2 beta. I was able to load my character and open the director but as soon as i joined any gametype i would be the only one playing, no enemies no guardians, and after a minute it would kick me out reporting moose error. After that i went searching for VPN applications that could give me a USA based IP address to see if that was the problem. I know very little about Networks and internet so it was very hard for me to understand what i was doing but i finally resolved the issue. I downloaded on my computer a free 24 hour trial from a company called Invisible Browsing VPN (ibvpn) from this link: https://www.ibvpn.com/plans-vpn-smartdns-proxy/ After downloading i followed the steps placed in this page: https://www.ibvpn.com/billing/knowledgebase/267/Set-up-the-PPTP-on-Windows-10.html Make sure to put the password they give you. Choose IPs in the USA. After getting and checking the USA ip, follow these steps: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AtJIXzfFUqA&t=289s I had a different configuration than him because i didnt have the usb-ethernet adaptor. I conected my pc to my wireless network, if u have a NAT type that is not open i suggest watching other videos to make it open first, and conected my pc to the xbox one with an ethernet cable. In the network center in my pc i shared my VPN in properties with my ethernet port, carefull dont put it in ethernet 2 if you are doind this method. After that rebooted my xbox check the conections, i use google DNS servers beacuse of data restriction in my country, i started the beta and could finally be destroy in crucible :) cheers wish you all luck.
