Almost impossible raids.
Can we get a raid that is damn near impossible to beat in Destiny 2? The only time the raids are somewhat hard is when they drop, and we are under-leveled.
Give us a challenge bungie. There is nothing hard in pve, unless we go into raids 3 man or solo. You can cater to the cry babies in their day care style raids, but hook some of us up with a challenging raid.
Edit: Just give us a "impossible" difficulty option, and give out rare items or gear for beating it.

But the raids are, by design, meant to be difficult due to mechanics and strategies. Once you have one, they are no longer impossible. So your request seems very unintuitive because you're essentially asking for a raid that relies on ridiculous DPS checks since you're saying one requiring a strategy to master jsn't good enough.

1 ReplyOne week out of the month they should allow you to add modifiers to each raid. The harder the combination, the more rewarded you are. More power to the players.

2 RepliesOne way to make raids great again: do not go to YouTube and look at videos posted by these click-baiting, attention-seeking, game-spoiling, ad-lusting YouTubers posting tutorials on how to do things. Figure it out on your own. Try it. Much more fun. And more satisfying knowing you and your group of guardians figured it out on your own. Sure it might take you days to figure out. But hey, it's a challenge!

3 RepliesWhy create a game mode for only about 1% of the players. Not everyone manages to do a raid. Even less complete the raid on hard mode. Even less manage hard mode enough to even attempt an impossible mode. It just seems like a waste of time, money and development resources.

Problem with offering a proverbial golden carrot on a stick with "impossible" challenge mode would be it'd encourage the paid carries issue. Many claim Trials isn't difficult but yet some players apparently are ok with spending a couple hundred bucks on a carry just for the chance to get a certain item. This? Would make it so much worse. Despite what I said, I do agree that harder challenges would be nice for those of the more...tryhard persuasion. Players will complain about the loot and the challenges all the same though.

1 ReplyWhy would Bungo waste their time and energy on doing this when you can simply just do things your end that makes it harder. Like playing with less people, using useless guns, deliberately lowering your light level, using LFG sites etc.

9 RepliesNot going to happen. Your cannot simultaneously make content accessable and design it to satisfy/give the hardcore elite a run for their money. Over time Bungie have leaned more and more towards accessibility in pve with Destiny - they want more people playing and completing raids, and getting 100% of all loot - which means even simpler mechanics and easier overall difficulty. Other than trials there isn't really much space for hardcore players to distinguish themselves in Destiny anymore, and who knows they might even try to make that more accessable by nerfing Lighthouse (or the d2 equivalent) requirements.
