Am I The Only One Who REALLY Wanted To See Flamethrowers in D2?
If there is one thing that I've wanted in Destiny since I first saw the Solar damage type was a flamethrower. Just being able to burn alive swarms of Hive, or melting away a Centurions shield. Imagine how cool it would be! Grenade Launchers are cool and all, but I wish we had gotten a Flamethrower. Maybe if it was arc it could shoot electrically-charged beams, or a Void-thrower could spray space dust!
Think of the possibilities!
Edit: I was thinking like a low range laser of sorts, but with some more bloom. And no DoT. Please. No more DoT.
I also understand that we won't get it in D2. But maybe a DLC or D3?

Regarding flamers though if it were solely pve it would work, unfortunately many destiny pvp players cannot seem to adapt strategies to different situations and/or weapon types so its range/dot and likely fuel capacity and damage output would no doubt be winged about and it would be nerfed into a mere throwaway cigar lighter. like you later said perhaps a laser heat type weapon would be better.

I've always been fascinated with people wanting flamethrowers in every game. I remember people wanted one for Halo 2 and were so excited when they got one for Halo 3. Pyromania in games.

I didnt as a weapon... But I think it wouldve been cool for a class ability. Like instead of dawnbade, we get a stormcaller that shoots fire that burns enemies and the floor and walls... Although I suppose babies would cry about getting burned again... WARLOCK MASTER RACE!!!
