Is there a way to stop trolls?
Just started playing in a long time again and got both new DLCs and now im in a strike with a guy who rushed forward and steals all door keys and then just doesnt use them und just stands afk, and dances.

13 RepliesHad someone do this in the beginning of the Blighted Chalice. He took a tomb husk key and ran to the door and started bagging and dancing. Me and this other guy tried to sword him off a cliff but he kept floating around and avoiding us. I had to drop after a few minutes. Looked him up on Bunie forums and found out through his comments he is a huge Star Wars fan. Waited a few weeks until Star wars Rouge one came out with early reviews and read all the spoilers. Then responded to one of his comments he posted on the forums with all the spoilers. He was pissed and asked why i did it. Karma's a bitch. Don't troll me bro.

Me and some other kid once carried someone afk all the way to the last round in poe then stopped and just jumped out the way of the boss attacks killing the lower enemies an not the boss so it lasted way over an hour lmfao he gave up then we killed the boss but he wasted over 2 hours afk and got nothing

4 RepliesMany have tried to wait me out, especially in PoE back in year one. People would hide and expect me to carry them. No mate. I would sit next to them for HOURS until they left and I'd carry on. I will never lose a waiting game.

1 ReplyTrolls usually play to an audience, even if that audience is you. They want to see a reaction If your on a strike and someone is stopping you from living to the next section, then go back. Go to one of the public areas (if you can), kill some stuff and have fun for a while. You have just deprived him of his audience. If he follows you, then he might get killed by the adds in the public zone. You get to pick up the key and continue. If he gets bored and goes to orbit, you can carry on the strike

Fire attacks stop their natural regeneration, otherwise they will just keep coming back.

Report the player in-game, report him via online service, then leave the activity and try again. ^_^

Identify quickly and react accordingly. At first sign of a troll, and I mean a real troll not just screwing around on your sparrow or something but really acting like a dumbass, I peace out and reload. Bungie can penalize me for leaving if they want to but I have no time for idiots.

You can report them in game. I hate to say that but sometimes you got to do what you got to do.

1 ReplyThe best way to stop Trolls is to blow up all the bridges. Then they will have no place to live and likely just fade away or turn to stone in the sunshine.
