Skating and surfing needs to be in D2
Skating and surfing need to be made better, because hunters, and especially nightstalkers have better K/D than everything. Shadestep, and the jump style hunters have are what make them the best when it comes to K/D. Skating and surfing may be the only thing that makes the game balanced.
Armor stats don’t help that much in destiny, but how you move does. And making hunters in D2 the only class to actually preform the "get out of the way" Jumps may leave Titans and Warlocks in the dust when it comes to living through an engagement.

I think it will be. Bungie is not gonna give hunters shadestep and the most agility and leave everyone else in the dust. Anyone that disagrees with me can stuff it where the sun don't shine.

4 RepliesNo! It's ridiculous that Titans (the tank class) is the quickest most agile character of all. Combining Titan skating/Twilight Garrison/shoulder charge can give Titans an overwhelming advantage. This is why it won't be in D2. Deal with it.

Warlocks have a healing ability and titans have barrier or wall ability so pls stfu because the game isn't even out yet.

Secondly please show me a stat chart showing nightstalkers have the highest kd because of shadestep and not because they are probably the most used subclass in pvp. Third skating has so little to do with pvp, if you can show me a game where a person got a kill with skating to win the game then I may change my mind, but in the end its all about gun skill, if you can shoot a guy who is skates, but the guy who skates cant pull the trigger who cares, yes for the elite of the elite it helps slightly because at that point slightly is the only amount of improvement you get. If you are average like me, which the average has a negitive K/D in pvp, then work on gun skill not skating and shadestep because they are slightly helpful tools but to say you are at a disadvatage to not have it is either too high or practiced hours on learning how to skate and use shadestep effectively. Edit: Not to mention Bungie has said they wanted to slow pvp down, they made ttk longer and probably wont allow skating because play style should be more passive and methodical.

It can make the difference between a gunfight. Warlocks and titans have other factors for making up for their jump, and that's if you even think they are at a disadvantage because of it. If you are versatile, you will know that the 2 other movements have different utilites.

5 RepliesOk hold on. Do you know what vertical and horizontal means? If not, skip a grade and go up to 3rd grade. Hunters excel at vertical movement. Titans excel at horizontal movement: Hunters can jump the highest (With Bones) and escape death from falling, but they can't speed up like a Titan and Warlock. Titans can save their lives when it comes to falling off an edge (Although sometimes they can if they) and don't have as high jumps as a hunter, but they can leave even Sanic in the dust. Warlocks. Um. They... They can't jump. I don't mean they can't jump to save their lives. I mean. They literally can't jump. Not only do their jumps lack height, but they also lack speed. If you want a class that can jump, don't choose this one. Please buff their jump, Bungie. Don't be a dick. They do, however excel at slapping people from a mile away.

I'm also okay with titans being able to titan skate faster than I could ever dream of being as a hunter. But when in one simple move they can invalidate my tripmine ability in two different ways I get sad. They can dash past it because they're so fast, and even if it hit them they wouldn't die from it. Speedy tanks? Plz no.

No, they don't need to be back. So far in Destiny 2 it appears that Titans have the ability to generate shields on command. Warlocks have the ability to generate rifts to support teammates. Mobility advantages should belong to Hunters as a result.

4 RepliesIt appears that armor stats will make a much larger difference in D2 and on top of that the armor itself and it's roll play more of a factor. So while I agree that I will be very sad to see my skating Titan go bye bye, I am interested in this new system.
