I agree they should not be the primary means of the story and the data pads and audio log idea would be nice for more recent events, but I would like grimoire to be on older events like the book of sorrows. I personally like the conversations with Saren on virmire and on the citadel council chambers, hearing him slowly realize he was being used was awesome.
