I got invited to the Destiny 2 Event!
just gonna edit this here cause people are seriously misunderstanding the timeline of events here.
people were annoucning that they were getting flown out, and i got salty for pretty much a day. then i realized how pointless my saltiness was and got over it, then other people got invited and Bungie really showed me i was wrong from the beggining, week? later i got invited out of the blue
Hey everybody! i just wanted to come out and say something about this. some of you may remember me from the early days of Destiny on these forums spouting all little fanciful theories on the lore and trying to really connect everyone with the story. my passion for this game has only grew and i've always strode to improve myself and the attitude of those around me. lately i've even started saying "being salty gets you no where"
so when the Destiny 2 Event was being teased by the bigger names of the community i got salty. i thought it was just the same people again and that nothing had changed, but i cooled down and got constructive, instead of accusatory i'd say what i didnt like about it and how i'd like to see it change.
then one by one alll these awesome people that i know and love started coming out saying the got invites, bigger podcasters and streamers and smaller too, and then i actually got one myself! (and i'm definitely not a big name, im practically a step above forum troll)
so first off, THANK YOU BUNGIE (Deej Cosmo Justin and literally anyone else who possibly helped this)
and second off, just stay positive Guardians, great things are upon us for Destiny 2, and i'll be one of the many large and small that will give you a first glance impression!

I was invited to a pretty cool exclusive event once, by email. Not joking. And when I saw that it was in California in about 5 days from when I received the invite and they don't pay for airfare...I messaged cozmo that I thought it was a little ridiculous and deleted the email.

If you get to meet a decision maker, please ask them the following 3 questions on behalf of the community: 1. Will PvE and PvP balance be separated? 2. Will there be dedicated servers? (Continuity plan for the onslaught of cheaters that are guaranteed to surface with the addition of PCs.) These include but are not limited to lag switchers, chord pullers, aim-botters, and inconsistent connections. 3. Why were they so afraid to have overpowered weapons and abilities? Thanks in advance.

3 RepliesIt's cool that you get to do something memorable like this in your life. You've definitely earned it. I'd say the only time Bungie has really noticed me is when I bought silver on the 360 6 months ago, Reported it, and saw silver go offline for part of the next day. I flipped out. But alas, silver is not destiny 2. I'm not upset that you get to go though. The chances of Bungie noticing me are slim anyway. I'll be watching for you in the stream. Good luck.

Please ask the real questions that the community wants answered. Not the fabricated ones the "streamers" and "youtubers" will ask. Please for the love of all the is holy! I'm begging you! Don't fall into their trap and ask the questions that will be handed to you and pre-written. [spoiler]dedicated servers, why none of their employees play the game, why when they play the game once they decide to nerf the one thing that kills them which ends up ruining it for the casual player. Please add to my list of you have more questions that the REAL community would like answered. [/spoiler]
