DO PEOPLE NOT UNDERSTAND WHAT THE VALOR IN DARKNESS EMBLEM MEANS !?!?!?!
Five times. Five times last weekend I've joined groups only to be yelled at or kicked due to the fact that I was wearing this emblem and not the one they asked for. Like -blam!-ing hell. This emblem means you have done EVERY SINGLE RAID CHALLENGE out there.
For all you ignorant lfgers out there, here's what this emblem means -
- It means you've done all 4 raids at max light at the hardest difficulty.
- It means you've done [b]ALL 9 RAID CHALLENGES [/b]in this game.
- It means you've killed all the gorgons.
- It means you've completed Ir Yut in less than 2 min.
TL;DR - The AoT book raid emblem means you know what you are doing.
Edit- So apparently I'm coming across as an elitist and think I am an MLG God according to some people lmao. All I'm saying in this post is that people should understand that the Valor in Darkness is essentially the raid challenge emblem since it requires all 9 raid challenges. Now I may have come across as a bit douchey and I apologize for that. It's just that these -blam!-tards in the game don't know shit
Edit 2- Hmm apparently I'm showing some attitude. Some people are so mentally challenged apparently that they don't understand what this post is about. I'm typically a chill person, not some ragy little pisshead. Also people are assuming that I think that everyone should know what the emblem means. I don't, but when I explain it to them they don't believe me apparently even tho they can check it up in their book in like 5 seconds. So this post is more of a PSA to some.

8 Repliesi only need aksis challenge to get all 9 challenge emblems, was so close last time it was challenge mode, we kept failing for 1 thing or another then we got it down so he was virtually dead then we got weasled! i have only ever beaten this raid once due to most teams i have been with quit at aksis phase 2 i also struggled to slam his back consistently i kept falling off lol...any tips??

This is why I have never attempted to find a raid team. I'm a decent PVE player and i can take directions just fine. Seems like too much trouble finding patient people to help you through the raids.

7 RepliesI wouldn't know what any of the challenge emblems look like though I I think I have 7? Have never done ROTM so sat that week out. I have deleted all new emblems that appear in the post office. In my experience eblems don't mean a thing. You can buy the Lighthouse and you can get carried through a raid. The proofs in the pudding.

My friend and I try to build teams for raid runs each week. We have moderately strict requirements: - Defender or Nightstalker subclasses are preferred - If you're a Warlock, you cannot run Self-Res. You're expected to contribute to the group with your super. (My friend and I follow this rule as well. Exception: if running VoG relic) - Bring Ghorn and Drinker (if WotM), or Simulant (if VoG), or Spindle (if KF). - If you don't know the raid and claim otherwise and we wipe because of you, you're kicked immediately. (We're willing to teach if you ask, but will not tolerate liars that waste everyone's time.) - No children allowed (this includes HS/immature college students who talk too damn much) - If you disconnect more than 3 times during the raid, you're kicked. With those "rules", we generally get pretty stable raid runs with LFG. However, it's still annoying to go through such a ridiculous (yet necessary) process to get decent raid runs. We wish we could find a group of players to consistently raid with each week. It would make playing this game much more enjoyable...

Sure I don't mind teaching if the person learning is actively trying to learn and not just wasting my time My lfg post Name of raid lfm/lfg (that's it never require anything) Things I get messages Name of class/light have done all raids 200 completions know all challenges Steps into raid and starts asking questionable questions such as are we gonna cheese the bridge? What weapons should I use? What's strategy should we use (on Oryx) I think people go way too overboard with requirements if you really want quick runs make friends with people that play with you and you like and get together to raid. I like playing with different people cuz I can teach and learn every now and then to be a better player its all trail and error and kiddies tryna get it on the first go with people they never played with (of course there's a limit) but just like in life we don't always have perfection and not everything goes how planned so work with what you have and above everything else have fun. X)

14 RepliesWhen I don't have to google the emblem or how you got it (this goes for every emblem) as in there is an in game description, then you can come cry about why anyone doesn't know why anything. Until then you can just cry because you have to use lfg and don't have friends who want to spend 2 hours listening to you tell everyone how great you are.

My best time so far is 2:08. We go in with gallys and swords tethering, supering, etc. but seem to need just a few extra seconds. Edit: Just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone for adding such detailed good advice. I hope everyone who has had trouble with this part finds it as helpful as I have. This is why I love the Destiny community.
