In the Outbreak Prime quest, there was an option to play crucible matches or run strikes. That should be built in to all quests.
Destiny pvp got progressively worse over the last 2+ years. The players should not be punished by having to endure the crucible to obtain rewards.
Weapon and ability nerfs speak for themselves.

3 RepliesEdited by Snake: 5/2/2017 5:10:04 AMone of the main troubles with destiny is that the PvE sections and the PvP sections of the game are not ballanced seperately. then you have destiny players saying things like "seperating PvE from PvP is a bad idea" usually because they don't want to have to earn abilities along with the weapons and armor seperately in multiplayer after having played destiny for so long. i can see some hate coming my way for even saying this, but games like call of duty use this type of seperation (the solo game has suffered in length because of this, but with the co-op style campaign of destiny, this can be overcome) the call of duty games are still huge dispite this and have been for years, this type of seperation premotes more major league gaming tournament style PvP (like bungie has always wanted to do), as when first starting multiplayer, no player has a big advantage over another player, weapons are earned over time played and experience gained not through RNG based drops and can gain that experience against players over time. because destiny is a MMO-RPG-FPS hybrid, you cannot balance the game for PvP without damaging the PvE experience, and you can't tune the game for PVE play without damaging the balance for PvP. you can balance for just the First Person Shooter section of the game where yes you can keep each weapon at that 1.0 KD balance that they like, or for the RPG section where they tune the abilities again for 1.0 KD balance, but this is a bad idea as certain weapons an abilities are used more often than others as they are dependant on both playstyle and character type (and lets face it, this is one reason that people started using snipers and shotguns as primary type weapons). the classes themselves are also not suited very well for PvP as each charater type had different speeds and defence, along with the fact that Melee attacks have different ranges, the only way i can see to get around this is to have a single character type that has a changing stats based on the abilities your using. you could make things more dependant on your character build: such as if armor is increased the speed suffers as a result and vice versa (this way you don't get titan type characters that are both fast and have heavy defences), Melee strength could be based around speed (the faster you are the more your overall melee strength suffers, but range would always remain the same), granades could be set as different types (3 or 4 for each burn type, a area of effect granade and general explosive type granade, a ranged type granade such as the axion bilt or fire bolt granade, along with a stat altering effect granade to lower/raise defences/attack or heal a player).
