In the Outbreak Prime quest, there was an option to play crucible matches or run strikes. That should be built in to all quests.
Destiny pvp got progressively worse over the last 2+ years. The players should not be punished by having to endure the crucible to obtain rewards.
Weapon and ability nerfs speak for themselves.
Edit - I haven't played any pvp since August. I'm a decent player, save trials

3 RepliesThis is just a suggestion to the OP but have you or anyone else thought of putting together a petition conveying these ideas? I would but lack the time and the computer savy

Im definitely waiting for reviews b4 purchasing!

Bungie says: Buy it first and find out like you did in Destiny 1.
-
1 ReplyUr gonna buy it no matter what tbh
-
9 RepliesBetter solution, bungie can quit listening to the nerf crybabies.
-
6 RepliesThen you're playing the wrong game. If you haven't realised that they both are connected, do you even play Destiny?
-
13 RepliesIf you're not willing to play all the content you shouldn't expect to get all the content.

3 RepliesEdited by Snake: 5/2/2017 5:10:04 AMone of the main troubles with destiny is that the PvE sections and the PvP sections of the game are not ballanced seperately. then you have destiny players saying things like "seperating PvE from PvP is a bad idea" usually because they don't want to have to earn abilities along with the weapons and armor seperately in multiplayer after having played destiny for so long. i can see some hate coming my way for even saying this, but games like call of duty use this type of seperation (the solo game has suffered in length because of this, but with the co-op style campaign of destiny, this can be overcome) the call of duty games are still huge dispite this and have been for years, this type of seperation premotes more major league gaming tournament style PvP (like bungie has always wanted to do), as when first starting multiplayer, no player has a big advantage over another player, weapons are earned over time played and experience gained not through RNG based drops and can gain that experience against players over time. because destiny is a MMO-RPG-FPS hybrid, you cannot balance the game for PvP without damaging the PvE experience, and you can't tune the game for PVE play without damaging the balance for PvP. you can balance for just the First Person Shooter section of the game where yes you can keep each weapon at that 1.0 KD balance that they like, or for the RPG section where they tune the abilities again for 1.0 KD balance, but this is a bad idea as certain weapons an abilities are used more often than others as they are dependant on both playstyle and character type (and lets face it, this is one reason that people started using snipers and shotguns as primary type weapons). the classes themselves are also not suited very well for PvP as each charater type had different speeds and defence, along with the fact that Melee attacks have different ranges, the only way i can see to get around this is to have a single character type that has a changing stats based on the abilities your using. you could make things more dependant on your character build: such as if armor is increased the speed suffers as a result and vice versa (this way you don't get titan type characters that are both fast and have heavy defences), Melee strength could be based around speed (the faster you are the more your overall melee strength suffers, but range would always remain the same), granades could be set as different types (3 or 4 for each burn type, a area of effect granade and general explosive type granade, a ranged type granade such as the axion bilt or fire bolt granade, along with a stat altering effect granade to lower/raise defences/attack or heal a player).

Lets be real D2 is going to be like CoD. Everyone says they wont buy it for X reasons. Then it comes out, and all the big youtubers hype it up, and then all the "holdouts" run in droves to buy it.
CoD free since Blops 1 myself though.
Pve is what got me into destiny when I played the alpha and beta... I quit playing for good finally around October.
-
Huh can't just say that your kd is bad so your argument is invalid, what a weird phenomenon.
But really? I'm personally fine with doing pvp on some quests
-
27 RepliesI don't want destiny2 be separate for some reasons Let's say bungie buffed mag size of a weapon( I know it's impossible) only for PVP , you get the weapon you use it in PVE and then just for fun you use it in PVP too and suddenly all the weapon states change with no reason
-
Lol sure you're not.
-
And I'm not buying any more peanutbutter till they separate the peanuts from the butter!
-
See you in the beta 🕸🕷
-
Take care.
-
This.

Parents just surprised me with my copy
being seventeen is great
4 Repliesnerfs and cough cough* buffs will always happen. pvp just happens to show up overpowered/underpowered weapons better. shooting pve enemies spawning in the same position, doing the same thing is nearly worthless for data. destiny will always be both.
-
1 ReplyI can't remember a time where I was battling both Guardians and A.I.
-
Opps I preordered
-
God, I hope so...
-
Amen. Weapon balances, class balances, weapons quests should all be separated. None of this forcing me to do an activity I could care less about.
-
Ok....bye.....or should I say see you in six months. The game will come out, you will wait a month and then you will be playing. PVP will never be perfect you just have to adapt to new meta and have fun.

PvP in this game is just stupid af. Nerfing shit so much that the weapons in PvE feel like common weapons, not legendary. If Destiny 2 combines PvP with PvE again, they can eat a bag of dicks! I'm out!!
